• Losing Key Races

  Well, I'm happy with my play today things just didn't go my way. Lots of deep runs though. I did play 2 75$ tourns and it didn't work out. FTP 75$ 6 Max - 2/3 of fields is gone and I 3x with JJ and BB calls, flop is 9,8,5cc I bet half pot and he raises. I very drawy board so I shove to see KK. Nice play by him, I make a little note in the box for him at that's that. FTP PLO 75$ T Sat - 1st is sattie seat worth 535 and 2nd, 3rd pay as well. I have 2 plus stacks so far and raise with J452double suit on button and both blinds call. Flop is A,6,7 and SB makes PSB. BB folds, I have double his stack and I doubled through him once on loose play by him. I shove and he calls with AK6x, I have flush draw and up/down st8 draw but miss. I double again later and with 6 left I face a LP raise and SB calls and I call in BB with 7789 double suit. Flop is J,10,7 flopping me nutz and SB makes PSB. I could just flat to see turn as AKQ9 will counterfit my st8 sometimes but I shove to iso the guy and I'm in good shape to see KQJx. 7 outs to fade. Turn bricks and rivers 9. That killed me. Then I have 11 bbs and limp UTG with 9756 suit UTG and one limper and BB makes PSB. Smells like AA and I like my hand vs AA. I mean this is a turbo and I am way behind so I like to iso and gamble. He has AA22 and flop is 7,4,x giving me lots of outs but I miss. PS OHL 5$ Rebuy - Made FT again but busted 9th. Short stack makes PSB from cutoff and I raise to put him in with KK52 and lose to AA108. Then I'm in BB with Q785 and flop is Q,10,4 and it checks around and turn is 7, I make PSB and two callers and river is 4. I lose to AK42 for rivered trips. FTP OHL 5$ Rebuy - Busted on FT bubble, I was chip leader for a while but lost a few pots and couldn't double when this fish kept calling with marginal hands and chopping with me and then he finally two out scooped me for a min cash. UB NL 33 Rebuy - Played well but ran AK in AA. No problem eventually build my stack back up. 14 or so left and I raise AK UTG for 3x, an aggresive player 3x's me in MP. Now I've been hating AK lately but I can't fold here to this guy. I shove and he calls with 1010 and I lose race. I would have been 3rd in chips but I bust for no cash. Cake NL 27 Rebuy - Playing pretty good and then again lose AQ to 1010 late in tourn and face a raise later with 10 in BB with 13bbs left. I shove it and lose to KK. Cake NL 33$ - 23 left and I shove with QQ after 2 limpers (and 20bbs) and guy behind holds AA. Min cash. UB PLO 11 Rebuy - Min cash in 10th place. I make PSB UTG with AKQ5cc as the short stack and get called by QQ68 and don't get there. Oh, I played one other 75$ on FTP the Holdem PL. I thought I was going to be way below is guarantee but 50 joined during later registration to cover it. Anway another deep run and this. In the cutoff this guy takes is time to 2.25x it and SB calls. I have A10hh and love a squeeze here because I think CO is week. Anyway I make PSB which is 7K leaving me 3K behind. The guy flats it and flop is baby cards, I put my last 3k in and he calls with 44. I just can't believe he couldn't find a fold for 44 there. I hadn't been out of line at all. I mean why is he just flatting? I have 3K behind? Is he set mining? Just weird. So busto there maybe 18th or so of 98. I guess we'll leave it at that. I'm happy running deep in 5 or 6 tourns just none of them deep enough!! • FTP Matrix SNGs

  So yesterday I played just a few tournaments. Only one tournament was 75$ at it went down like this. FTP 75$ 6 Max - Key hand: I had K10dd and four to the flop of A,Q,9dd giving me NFD and gutshot to broadway. SB bets out 2/3 and I raise hoping to take pot down but calling any shove seeing I'm likely 41%. He shoved with A9 and I won to double up. Then later I raise KQo and button shoves. I don't like calling here but I'm getting 2 to 1 and will have 20 bbs if I lose so based on math I call. I suckout AQo. Then I win a big one when button raise and I 3 bet from SB and he shoves, I call and hold vs KQ. Then this was killer same guy makes UTG raise and I look at QQ and 3 bet him. Then guy to my left 4 bets me. Now I don't like this situation. The 4 betters stats are 25% preflop raise over 30 hands so that is really high. This helps make my decision to shove on him and he tables AA. Huge pot that I lost. Anyway, 22 left and same guy has gone AIPF 3 hands in a row and does it again UTG and I hold A8o in BB with 12bbs left. Again I don't like this spot but because the guy has shoved 4 in a row I call and lose to AJ. I actually like all my plays except that last hand. He must have know he was going to get looked up and I figured he probably had a hand but I couldn't find the fold. FTOPS OHL Sattie: Well, playing well in these but not getting seats. A measley 8.8$ sattie has one seat and I make it HU with a guy out of 30+ runners and lose to win nothing. Then a 24$ sattie top 3 get seats and we are 8 handed, I'm maybe 3-4th in chips and UTG makes PSB having only 2bbs behind. Instead of isolating (its a sattelite) I just call and BB calls. I hold AQJ5ss and flop is Q,7,5ccs, UTG puts his last chips in and I call along with BB, turn is Js, giving me top two pair and NFD. BB makes PSB. If I call I'm committing myself here and I figure at best he has QJ and I'm freerolling FD. Anyway I shove and I'm ahead of his AKQ7cc and he rivers non spade 10 to scoop. I was 62% on turn I think I have to take significant edge to guarantee myself a seat. (Pot was 16k and next biggest stack was 6k). Oh well. UB PLO 11 Rebuy - Playing well 14 left and I limp AKJ5dd and BB makes PSB. I call to flop of A,J,x and he makes PSB. No way he has AA there and does that so I shove and he calls with KKxx, can I fade the one outer? No, instead of 3rd in chips I'm gone. FTP OHL 5 Rebuy - Doing OK and decide to speculate with 78910 double suit and limp (not a good H/L hand but I'm limping on cutoff). BB makes PSB and I call with position and SB calls, flop is Q,7,9 and BB makes PSB. I looks like aces to me I'll take my chances with two pair and up/down draw and I shove and strangely SB shoves and BB calls. They table KKQ10, and AA5x. Now I can't believe KK went with us, the AA was pot comitted and had to call. Anyway I'm ahead, turn 4, still ahead, river J and worst hand scoops hit. That's what I get for gambling I guess. I've been playing some FTP Matrix SNGs, they confused me at first to how they worked but I'm kind of liking them now, it takes a little variance out of the game. Works like this. I play a 110+9 OHL tournament and it's spread into 4 tables. So we all compete to win each individual table (top 3 pay) and then there is a Matrix Prize pool for top 3 points scorers. You get points by knockouts, and lasting longer than others. I think I'll do a few more of those today as I can't play MTTs my girlfriend wants me to go to a party with her and I can't be stuck at the tables. GL all today. No Comments on this post.   It's so frustrating to play so well and just get sucked out of hundreds if not 1-2K dollars. Only solace I have is I played really well today, just killed at OHL and PLO and ok at Holdem. Where to start.....standard stuff first. FTP 129KO - I raise A10o and get called to flop of 1098 rainbow, I check raise all in and guy calls with KJ. 50/50 hand I lose to river K. FTP 75 6Max - I raise UTG with AK and BB calls to A,J,2 flop I bet he calls, 7 turn, check-check, river 2, he bets I raise, he calls with A7. Then I raise button QQ and BB reraises, I shove and he calls with AJo. I lose FTP 75 - Sick so I'm on the money bubble UTG with KQhh and I have 10bbs. Fold to min cash? Nah, playing for 5k not 100$, and BB has 13bbs so he has to have monster to call. Well I shove and folds around to BB who thinks and calls with AKo of course. Flop is Q,J,2 one time for me? Turn J, River 10. I lose, I mean one suckout in one tournament today please. I know I get them other times but just one today. I bubble TWO of TWO FTOPS OHL Satties just gross I had big stacks in both and was outdrawn numerous times no need to recount. I played great. There goes 450$ profit. PS OHL 5 Rebuy - I'm killing and 9th in chips and face a LP raise and I have AAJ7 in BB and make PSB, he thinks and calls to see Q,7,5 flop and I make PSB. He calls somehow with K632 which is terrible, I mean even though his lo is good he has no way of knowing as I make PSB with AK23,AQ35 type hands anyway just fade a 4 is all I ask. As I think it the turn is 4. I lose FTP OHL 5 Rebuy - Killing and lose a bad hand flopping nut lo and NFD to hi and getting scooped by a naked lo draw with a Q kicker to my J. Then I raise AA3xdd UTG and guy calls with QQ32 and flops Q and I flop nut lo draw and overpair and don't make it. I limp with A367cc and same guy makes PSB, I call to flop of A,8,8 and I check he shoves I call and he has KK44 and turns 4 to chop. Then BvsB SAME GUY I have KQ106cc and flop is K,J,8cc giving me toppair/updowndraw/2nd NFD, I make PSB turn 6 for two pair and shove the rest, he calls with 88 and fades my outs. It was 50% on flop. I money bubble and lose. FTP 44 OHL - UTG raise and a caller and I call in SB with A27Jcc and BB shoves a small stack. Intial raiser calls and maniac shoves I know I'm way ahead of him and I call to see his 2468 river scoop me. PS 109 OHL - I raise AA108cc and fish in BB calls flop is 6,2,Jccc giving me flush, he shoves and I call to see 8866 only a fish plays this OOP to a raise in OHL. So I have flush and lo draw, he has no lo and rivers quads to scoop.  Then, a minraise in LP (always A2xx) and I have A2J10 one suit and make PSB to iso, BB shoves and intial raiser calls and I'm committed. I see AK25 and BB AKK3. Flop Is J,4,5 - okay...turn is 10 giving me top two and sharing nut lo draw...am I to scoop? No river is 4 and KK scoops. UB 11 PLO Rebuy - After break and I hold QQJ2 to flop of QJ8ss and I make half pot bet and get raised. Now I think....this guy has wrap st8/flush draw. I have one spade. But I like to ship in case he has smaller trips and flush/st8 card scares him. So I ship and he has AK10xsss and I'm 55% to win. I lose the race. Instead of 3rd in chips I'm gone. FTP 11 PLO Rebuy - This was the sickest hand. OK, late in tourn UTG limps, and next guy makes PSB to 1k plus. I KNOW HE HAS AA. Knowing that I call with J1078cc and flop is 547 rainbow and he makes PSB. Now I KNOW I have 6,7,8,J,10 and backdoor st8/club draws. He is overplaying his AA and will pay off if I hit. Make PSB into that board is just terrible with others in. So I call PSB and turn is 10 giving me top two. Again he makes PSB and I shove the rest in. He calls with AA73, I have to fade 2 or A, 6 outs for 3rd place in tourn. I lose. This one kills me. FTP 75 HA - I mean, if I wasn't ready to puke yet today this happens. During PL Holdem a limper and I limp button with 55. Flop is 5,J,6 I flop gin. BB min bets and I call as it's rainbow flop, turn is 8 and he checks I bet half pot he raises. I could shove here but we're both committed anway so I just call and there is 44k in the pot and river is J, he puts he last 1.5k in and I call to see J8. I'm ready to FUCKIN VOMIT. I mean just sick runner runner. I played it fine I got him to catch two pair on turn just sick unlucky. 94% or so on flop to win that. Anway I'm down to 10bbs and lose a race in PLO. I mean from a chance to be commanding chip leader in tourn to busting. Other sick part was that guy doubled through a guy right before that with 22 AIPF vs JJ and hit a 2. Now he is monster chip leader and he is just a donk. So thats that. Some other standard outdraws but none worth mentioning. Maybe one. PS 22 NL Rebuy - I raise JJ and BB calls flop 10,6,2 I c-bet 2/3 pot and he calls turns is 9, I bet and he raise, can you guess? No not 10,9 but 99. 2 outer on turn. So I say, I shall not rebuy and don't. GL all at the tables...I'll be back tomorrow. Gotta stay positive, I'm pretty happy with my play I mean just races and outdraws not going my way. (BTW, Yeah I screamed at end of day after the KQhh hand and the A2J7 hand, hence the title. My dogs don't know what I'm doing so I have to calm down for them. Thank God they are here). • Playing a little better...

  So I got the donking out of my system mostly. Here's a report. Cake 27 Rebuy - Interesting hand, 1 or 2 limpers in front of me and I limp with Q10dd, maybe 1 or 2 limpers after and then button raises 3.5x. Now with all these limpers that is a really weak raise and I think the guy this full of it. Anway, this complete fish calls before me and then I shove my Q10dd having button covered 2 to 1 and all the limps plus the raise/call antes there are just too many chips and I want to iso this guy. Well he thinks a bit and shoves and surprisingly the fish tanks and calls 25bb raise with A4o OMG!!, the button showed 87dd and I won that pot. That was it for my luck though. I then lose QQ to K10 AIPF, KK to K10, A8 to Q8 AIPF, and 55 to A2 AIPF to min cash. Stars 22 Rebuy - Doubled during rebuy with AA, added on. Then I limp 88 UTG and a guy with 12 BBs makes 5x raise with 3 limpers out there. I shove to iso the guy and he has QQ. That takes me down but not out, I raise with AK and SB calls and we showdown I lose to 44. Then I face a raise and shove my 15bb with 1010 and lose to AK. UB 33 Rebuy - Going ok and then UTG limp, limp, limp, I raise with AQ to 4x and SB shoves. I have him covered after others fold and am getting 2 to 1 to call. So I make the pot odds call to see AA. Oh well, then my 55 loses AIPF to two overs. FTP 22 Rebuy - Here is where multitabling and not paying attention can cost you. In rebuy period I have doublestack and an aggresive guy to my right raising 24% of his hands. So I'm playing other tables and see this guy overaise in SB about 6x and I look at AQo and vs. this guy it's an autoshove. So I shove and OOPS!! I see a guy who limped UTG and his stats are 0% Preflop raise and 7% VPIP. Now I insta regret my shove and this guy takes a while but calls with KK. I decide I have too many tables open and don't rebuy. FTP 129KO - About 5k in chips at 50/100 level and I raise with AKo 3x in LP and SB is all in with 49 chips or so. This is a bounty tourn so it may change things slightly. Someone may want to playback to get the 20$ bounty off that guy. So keeping that in mind chipleader makes it 800, so 500 back to me to call. I decide to shove on the guy and he calls with 1010. It was an aggresive play and I don't know if I'm being results oriented or not. Maybe I'll post this hand on 2+2. UB 11 PLO Rebuy - At the FT again, and in SB I have AQQ10cc and complete. BB makes PSB and I call to see K,J,8 flop and I shove with QQ and st8 draw. He calls with KK and no st8 for me, 5 place finish. The thing is with this tournament once you get to final table it is 10bb average stack and there is no room for play. I mean I can't check call to see if my st8 draw will hit, we both only have a PSB left. FTP 26KO PLO - Strangely I make it to money without 1 KO to my name. I have a decent stack and guy makes PSB UTG and I call with AQ108hh and flop is Q,10,7dd and he puts the rest of his chips in which is half PSB. I lose to KJ1010. Then with 12 or so left I have 10 bbs and decide to make PSB with 10986hh, I'm hoping to pick up blinds and play is so tight at this point (near FT bubble) that I'm only going to get shoved most likely by AA. Well I get reraised and call pot comitted to see AKK2ss, so this is really what I want to get HU with. I'm 42% but can't make it happen. FTP PLO 33 Rebuy - Disappointing cash bubble. Bust hand a maniac limps UTG and I look at KQQ5 double suit. I wanted to raise this pre but I found it really weird that maniac who is raising 24% limps UTG. So I call and 4 way to flop of 6,7,10hhd giving me flush draw and back door flush draw. BB makes PSB. At this point near bubble he is only doing this with nutz 89. I'm getting 2 to 1 on my FD and call. Turn is Q giving me trips and flush draw and he makes PSB. Now since I'm playing for 1st I have to go with this hand and hope board pairs or makes H on river. I'm 43% to win and calling 9k to win 18k so I have to do it. Wasn't meant to be. From this hand and the last PLO hand it may look like I'm racing too much but honestly these are the only races I had in the tourns for my chip stack. Sometimes you have to take them and they just didn't work in these cases. PS 109 OHL - I was playing well and just losing, down to about 16bbs and limped with A246 double suit. Multiple limpers and button makes min raise which is almost always A2. Then min raise gets called around and I decided that this is as good spot to gamble with extra chips out there so I make PSB to iso. Folds to min raises who thinks and shoves with A2310 and his 10 kicker plays to scoop. FTP 44 OHL - Made FT again, 5 handed Hijack makes PSB and I call with A246 and flop is A,8,10 and he bets 2/3 pot. I stick it all in with top pair and lo draw and he calls with AJJ3. 23 outs total for either chop and some with a scoop but none hit. I did go 1 for 2 in FTOPS OHL Satties and got another seat so I'm happy about that. Made a little but of money playing PLO and OHL SnG's on FTP. Good luck all. No poker today for me!
