• 1st Place in UB PLO Rebuy (again)

  Tourney of the week for me. The 4 times I've played this week were 3rd,1st,0 Cash,and First. I guess I'll have to play it tomorrow, if it ain't broke don't fix it. No hands to note, I think it was pretty standard, I did make a few big reraises 4 handed against the chip leader with the other two guys short stacked. That definitely kept me in contention for 1st, if I kept folding I would have blinded out in 4th-2nd. Deep run and min cash in Stars OHL Rebuy - Instead of scooping a 100k pot I had runner runner suckout and that was it. FTP 75$ 6 Max - Up to 9k in chips and then a limper UTG at 40/80 and some other guy shoves 1.4k. I hold 99 in SB. I almost am ready to fold this but I think I'm ahead of shover and elect to call. Now UTG shoves, puke....this is way I should have just let it go. 4.5k in the pot and 1.5k to call now, so I call hoping he shoved UTG with AK. He flips up KK and shorty had A8. Anyway, 5.5k now for me. And I make a hero call against a maniac on a board of J,10,8,x,A, he makes PSB and I call with 66. This is an insta fold against anyone else but I had notes on him and he had been making crazy bets and that is why I called. Bad call by me, very next hand I have AQ and shove trying to look like a tilt (3k into 40/80 blinds) get called by button with A10. Flop is AJJ, sweet, river J, gross for chop. Anyway, that same guy had been cold calling 10% of his hands and defending his BB with trash. Anyway I raise with A10o and same guy defends his bb. Flop is 10,6,2 rainbow, I cbet and he shoves. • 1st Place in PS NOL Rebuy

  I had given up on playing this No limit OHL tournament on Stars. I've felt really good about my OHL game lately and decided to play it this week. First try I made a deep run but didn't cash, and then today I took 1st. Everything seemed standard, no notable hands. But I had AA8x and AA3x scoop pots AIPF vs A2xx hands. So stuff like that helps. Pushed alot because the structure is kind of bad late and your looking at 10bb stacks.  I couldn't play a full day because my gf was coming home late and I got 2 dogs. So I fired up some OHL Limit ring games on FTP, I made some money at them but it cost me in the UB PLO Rebuy, I had a decent stack and blinded away with it because playing these limit 6max tables you are always playing hands, so I'll have to limit it to maybe two ring tables if I'm still playing tourns. Anyway, nothing else to report. Couple of small victories today and yesterday for 1k+...I'll take it. Gl all. No Comments on this post. Click here to post a comment.




• 1st Place in UB PLO 11 Rebuy

  Finally took the UB PLO Rebuy down, been a while. No major hands to note, just ended up getting a big stack and was constantly raising putting pressure on people. I picked off bluff here: UTG raise min and I call in BB with AQxx, flop is AK2hh, I check and min bet, I call turn is 4, I check and min bet/call, river is 2, I check and makes PSB. Busted draw I think and I call to see QQ10xhh and win the pot. HU I had a huge chip lead but guy outdrew me 4 hands to get 2 to 1 but I finally hand a flopped hand hold and won. FTP PLO Rebuy - 192 runners, bust in 19th on money bubble. Got my chips in 60% favorite and I hadn't been racing all day. Had to win that one but wasn't meant to be. FTP 75$ 6Max - Up to 5k in chips and I limp button with 99 and see flop 4 handed, J,J,9. Guy makes PSB I raise him, he insta shoves and I insta call to see J8. His shove is terrible because only a better hand is calling everytime. Anyway river 8 and I lose 10k pot. FTP 26$ - 8K in chips I raise in LP with QQ and SB shoves and BB shoves over that. Easy call, SB was short stack and BB is obv trying to iso. SB has KJ and BB has AQ, I don't care about a K just let me win the main pot. Flop is Ace, good bye. UB 33$ Rebuy - Changing my playing style in this tourn and it's working. Anyway, 5th in chips with 24 runners left but lose 18k race with A8cc vs 77 and then lose 18k pot with my Ak vs AJ (AJ shoved over UTG raise and my reraise, unreal). Then, later I raise with 1010 and get flatted by one guy, SB is short stack and shoves. I shove to iso, semi-thinking the orginal caller probably flatted me with AA and of course he had it. I like my shove iso though. Only if KK,AA flatted can he call the shove. I bust no cash. That's the short run of it, time for dinner. No Comments on this post. Click here to post a comment.




• 2 Final Tables Today

  Cake 10$ NL Rebuy - Hand for Hand on the money bubble one limper and I raise 1010 4x, caller behind me and blinds/limper fold. Pot is 16K and flop is J,5,3 rainbow. I go to make my usual c-bet of 2/3 pot with 12K but accidentaly put in 1200, since this is below minimum bet the Cake software stupidly just makes the minimum bet for you. So only 1600 goes out into 16K pot, this guy thinks and shoves and I insta call and he has AQo. Turns a Q. It sucks because most likely he folds to c-bet on flop. The guy was bad player and thought my min bet was showing weakness. So you could say it worked out by inducing a shove but I got sucked out so the results weren't good. Anyway, this is with 40 left or so. Somehow I come back from 5bbs to make final table top 3 in chips. That donk is still in the game as well. Funny pot. Donk raises and BB reraises, donk calls and flop is 10,8,2 rainbow, BB checks and donk overshoves pot and gets snapcalled by AA, donk has Q9o, rivers a J for 600k pot. Anyway, 4 left and I raise with KQo and donk calls on button. Flop is Axx three spades. I have Q of spades and shove and donk had AQo. No spade for me and I'm gone. UB PLO Rebuy - Interesting hand. I'm in SB with 5278hh and flop comes Q,6,6hh and is checked around 5 handed, turn is 9 of h, checked around again. River is A and checked to button who makes PSB. 6k pot, 3k to call and if I lose I'm down to 7k. So I think it through. Q669A. Since this guy is on button I feel it's unlikely he has AA because a PSB would have been in order with all the limpers and position. If he had A6 and flop was checked to him I can't see him checking it either withouth heart draw. So I rule out AA and A6. Now if he slow played QQ looking for action and it checked to him on river why would he bet pot to scare everyone off? Why not half pot or 2x or min bet to get a call. So I feel my 5hi flush is good and call. He tables AQxx and starts whining about my call. I just thought it through and made the correct decision. Anyway, was playing well at FT, 5 handed and UTG min raise. I look at AKK6ss and makes PSB, this guy tanks and finally shoves and I call to see AQQJ, flop is J,7,7 turn x, just fade 4 outs to take 100k pot...no the Q. Oh well. FTOPS 129KO - Got 2 KO's and busted 1200ish of 7000 when I opened shoved AQ with 10bbs and lost to 88. FTP 75 6 Max - I'm posting this hand on 2plus2. 15/30 and I raise 90 UTG with JJ. Hijack calls and aggro guy (35 hands/30% raise) makes it 405 to go. It's his 3rd 3bet in 10 minutes or so. I think his raise is too big for AA and most likely KK. I'm putting him on a PP or AK,AQ. So I shove and he tanks and eventually calls with QQ. Bummer, one hand I was dominated by with his range. I really thought 77-1010 or AK,AQ. Down to 380 chips, I double, take small pots up to 860 and face an overraise and look at AKdd in BB and shove, he tank calls with A5hh and I lose. Ran deep in the PS OHL Rebuy and NOHL Rebuy but made little, disappointing but some key outdraws towards end were my demise. At least a profitable day though. No Comments on this post.
