Took today off because yesterday.....
1st in FTP $33 PLO Rebuy for 3.5k
2nd in Stars $109 1R/1add on for 6.6k
4th in Stars $33 HORSE for $444
2nd in Cake $11 PLO Rebuy for $562
I'm happy because made 10k plus day in profit which is my best day ever. I'm also just happy with my play of late. I'm even turning things around in HORSE which has been my only losing game. I was in great shape to come in 1st or 2nd in the HORSE tourn however I had some coolers/suckouts. Stud I hold K3KK and lose to 6565 at the FT and that killed me. The Stars rebuy I guess I'll mention a big hand from FT.
7 handed I raise EMP with JJ to 2.5x, MP flats and BB flats, flop is a nasty 659hh and I c-bet 60% of pot. The MP guy shoves over my bet which was not that much more and the BB flats it. Ok, I know from playing with BB he is loose and I have no reads MP guy. I feel he flopped a set. I'm not sure what BB has except it is a drawing type hand and not a made hand. I want to make the BB pay for his draw and I make a side pot and shove. He calls with K2hh and I'm 59% to win side pot. Main pot the shorty had 66 for trips. Anyway, my JJ holds and I end up with almost the same stack as before the hand, slightly larger. More importantly another guy is busted. If I didn't shove flop I wouldn't have got his chips as he would have checked down no doubt hoping to hit a heart. I got HU with a regular who I feel would definitely own me HU. I don't play much HU at all excpet in FT situations and somtimes SNGS (although I'm kind of done with those and now play PLO CAP 6 max). Anyway, since I think this guys edge will be big post flop I'm not going to play that game. (He also started HU 4 to 1 chip lead or else I may have tried it for a while). First hand HU I limp 67cc and he raises from BB. I shove and he snaps with AA. Short and sweet........wait board is 5 hearts and a chopped pot lol. Next hand he raises button and I hold KQss and shove. He thinks a little and calls with A10o and wins the race. I should have raise folded the 67cc but I'm fine with my KQ shove. Probably back to the MTT grind tommorrow.
