Last Tuesday I was all set to a blog and then I got a call from my vet. I had taken my dog Rocco in because I felt lumps under his jaw and they did some tests on him to see what it was. The vet called me and said that it was lymphoma and Rocco has 3-4 weeks to live if you don't treat it. Needless to say I was in shock. Rocco is a strong, healthy, 4 year old pit bull. My girlfriend and I were very upset. I didn't play poker for a couple of days then did a half day. I finally did two full days of poker yesterday and sunday. I'll say this; I didn't give to shits about all the outdraws/beats/etc because they just seemed insignificant. My dog is dying I couldn't give a fuck about AK getting cracked by A3 AIPF. Just put perspective on things I guess. Anyway, I tell myself I'm playing for him because we are doing Chemotherapy for him and it will run 3-3.5k. I'm gonna win a tournament for my boy and take care of his treatment. Today was his first day of Chemo. He is home now and the vet says he'll be drowsy for the rest of the day. Here is a link to a picture book of him and his story if anyone wants to see. I wish everyone the best and hope to do some regular blogs just to get into some type of normalcy/routine and not think about this.
