WEEK 6
Last time I wrote my blog I was up to 3,7K after some great MTT results. After
that, I got a little over self-confident. I was sure I would ship a Mid stakes MTT for +5k and end the challenge on week 6. (lol)
Well it didnt quite work out my way. During the weekend I played a lot of MTTs from 11$ to 33$. Didnt win anything. I did went deep in couple of micro MTTs, but it wasnt my time to win. On Sunday after id been eliminated from the last tourney I checked my BR balance. -700$ from the weekend.
The biggest misstake I did was that I didnt play my best game enough: 4.40
180 mans. But grinding them just doesnt feel like worth it anymore. So since i have almost 3K Im gonna try to start playing 12$ 180mans instead of 4.40s. Im not sure of this change, since they are turbos, but i gotta try something to keep the grinding intersting for me.
Even though I've lost a lot of money this week, I've learned a lot of new things about myself as a poker player. I definately lack discipline. Its difficult for me to accept that many of my days playing MTTs will end negativly money wise. On losing days I find myself chasing my losings on higher buy-in tournies. So 1 thing to work on.
I also think that my BR guidelines should be more strict. In the future Im going to play with a 150 Buy-in rule in MTTs
Im still happy about how I've done in this challenge. I pretty much crush micro stakes and I feel like im a decent player in Mid stake MTTs.
Current BR: 2700$
