Andy McLeod is on a roll. Not only has he taken the lead in the Sliding PLB as of last week’s ranking update; he's now jumped two spots this week to become the 4th ranked player on PocketFives. His week was a small one by his standards, totaling around $8,500 in cashes, but he continued to tighten the gap between himself and the top spot in the rankings.
Roothlus and BeL0WaB0Ve each moved up one spot this week in the top 10 and now sit at 7th and 9th. Roothlus now sits at the 9th spot on the Sliding PLB while two above that on the Pro Poll. BeL0WaB0Ve had a couple of good finishes this week, including 1st place in AbsolutePoker’s $16K Guaranteed on Wednesday, to help in his move to number nine. also had some live action going when he cashed at the WSOP this week during Event 25’s $2,000 No Limit Hold’em tourney, taking home $12,810.
Danny “THE__D__RY” Ryan showed why he is a force to be reckoned with this week when he hit the final table three times, taking 3rd and 4th on Stars Sunday, playing the $200 rebuy and the $109 NLHE. He moved two spots this week to number 17 in the rankings, and if he keeps up the consistent play, he has nowhere to go but up. Another player with good movement around the top 25 this week was busto_soon with his two wins on Tilt Tuesday and another Saturday in the $30k Guaranteed. Along with these big wins, busto_soon also made three other final tables on Stars, Bodog, and PartyPoker.
Three big names that have once again made big moves this week are those of SCTrojans, intervention, and dabears87. Although these guys are ranked in the top 50, they just have not seemed to quit climbing in the last few weeks. SCTrojans jumped up thirteen spots this week to 28th and made an impressive seven final tables this week, including a win on Tilt Saturday in the $14K Guaranteed $30 rebuy and two 2nd place finishes on Absolute and UB. Moving up seven spots to 30th, intervention’s wins from last week have helped him to continue his leaps in the Leader Board. Speaking of leaps, dabears87 took a massive one this week from 62nd to 46th. He made the final table twice on Stars with great play in the $50 and $100 rebuys.
Only ranked for about a month and a half, SirWatts is still moving fast on the PLB. Up to 57th this week, he moved 11 places from 68th and scored huge with his win on Stars in the Super Tuesday $1,050 NLHE. He took over $75K in this tourney and a whopping 548 points; enough to take him significantly upwards on the rankings ladder.
WhoTheHell gained 16 positions to 66th with four final table appearances including a top finish in Tilt’s $40,000 Guaranteed for $13,275. TheDreamer and Jaspuduf also moved up a good bit this week to 68th and 72nd respectively. TheDreamer took 1st on Stars in the $100 rebuy for $22k and a well deserved 270 points.
Entering the rankings this week, timex racked up a superb point total over the past scoring period, adding over 700 points to his total. With three trips to the final table, this PocketFives Triple Crown winner is no stranger to winning and is now moving very fast. His last few weeks have been fruitful at the tables, and he should be fun to watch in the coming updates.
