Earlier this month, PocketFives released the Monthly PLB console on the front page, which resets at the beginning of each month and tracks each member's top 20 scores (max of 12 scores per poker site) in the current month.
To make these races more exciting, we're adding some honey to the pot. For starters, the November and December winners will play a heads up freeroll for $1k in January. The winner of that heads up match will be able to defend their title the following month against the next Monthly PLB champion in another $1k heads up freeroll, and it will continue like this each month. That means that the January PLB champion could potentially still be playing heads up matches in August, assuming they beat the new monthly champion every month in between.
We will officially announce the winner on the 7th of the following month, so that we can make sure that all applicable PLB points are properly tallied. If the defending heads up champion is also the newest Monthly PLB Champion, they will play a PocketFives admin for the prize.
TLB races on several sites have been highly publicized in the past, and we're hoping that the PocketFives Monthly PLB race will become a staple of the online community as well. Good luck to everyone in contention for the November race; we're looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
