Absolute Poker is now included in the PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Rankings. This marks a big step for the site, whose automated rankings have quickly become the best around since their introduction in last October.
Absolute Poker's repertoire of tournaments along with the ability for U.S. players to deposit means more opportunities for players around the world to make their mark in the rankings.
PocketFives.com Co-Founder Adam Small comments on Absolute Poker now being included in the rankings: “Absolute Poker has, for a while, been the number one site that we’ve wanted to add to the rankings. Not only do they continue to allow players from all over the world to play; they also have multiple tournaments every day that satisfy our rankings criteria and give players an opportunity to make a nice-sized cash.” You’re probably familiar with the weekend tournaments across the major online poker sites, but check out Absolute Poker’s, which have a combined $200,000 in guarantees: The site just bumped the guarantee in their marquee Saturday tourney to $150,000 (It was $100,000). The buy in is $216 and each player starts with 5,000 chips, meaning the first place prize is at least $34,500. The tournament runs at 4:30pm ET each Saturday.
On Sunday, check out the $60,000 Guarantee tournament at 8:00pm ET. The $162 buy in means the first place prize is at least $12,500. Like the $150,000 Guaranteed tourney, each player starts with 5,000 chips. There are a ton of satellites for the two weekend tournaments, so plenty of opportunities exist to win your way in. Other tournaments on Absolute Poker include a $50 buy in, $10,000 Guarantee at 8:00pm ET Monday through Saturday as well as a $16,000 Guarantee, $30 rebuy at 10:00pm ET each night. You can also play in a $109 short-stacked tournament daily at 11:30pm ET.
