Big Changes to PocketFives Rake Chases

By P5s Staff | Published Jul 08 2009, 12:10 PM

Rake chases have become all the rage on PocketFives.com. This month, we’re holding weekly rake chases on the Entraction Network site NoiQ Poker that run from Wednesday to Tuesday and offer up to $3,400 in extra cash. If you’re from the United States, check out Carbon Poker, which is holding an exclusive $15,000 rake chase for members of our rakeback group. Participating in a rake chase is an easy way to boost your bankroll and receive a few extra bucks in the process. More than $150,000 is up for grabs in July through PocketFives.com rakeback across a spectrum of online poker sites, so let’s take a look at where you can hit it big.

The weekly rake chases on NoiQ Poker run from Wednesday to Tuesday, Midnight to Midnight GMT. The level of MGR you reach determines your payout according to the following schedule:

You can earn up to $850 each week in bonuses, or $3,400 over the course of the month. These are paid on top of the 30% rakeback you’ll receive just for signing up for NoiQ Poker through PocketFives.com. The Entraction Network is one of the fastest-growing families of sites around and also includes Devilfish Poker and 24h Poker. PocketFivers can take advantage of a 100% up to €5,000 sign-up bonus when registering. Starting in August, we’ll be debuting a monthly rake race on NoiQ Poker with more than $30,000 in prizes on the line.

If you hail from the United States, NoiQ Poker is not an option. However, you can sign up for Carbon Poker, which makes its home on the Merge Gaming Network. We’ve upped the ante in this month’s Carbon Poker rake chase to $15,000. Here’s how it works: The first 50 players to rake $250 receive a $30 bonus. The first 20 players to rake $750 receive a $100 bonus. The first 12 players to rake $1,500 receive a $250 bonus. The first eight players to rake $2,800 receive a $500 bonus. Finally, the first five players to rake $4,500 receive a $900 bonus.

All told, you can take home a $900 bonus on top of your 30% rakeback on Carbon Poker. So, if you rake $4,500 this month, you would earn 30% of that ($1,350) plus $900 for the rake chase, effectively giving you 50% rakeback. Not too shabby. Carbon Poker spreads a bevy of games including Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Stud, HORSE, Razz, Five Card Draw, Five Card Stud, A-5 and 2-7 Lowball, Badugi, and Euchre. You’ll be playing against customers on other Merge Gaming Network sites like Poker Nordica, Rumble Poker, and RPM Poker.

PocketFives.com offers $20,000 monthly rake races across several USA-friendly sites: Full Tilt Poker (27% rakeback), Cake Poker (33% rakeback), Ultimate Bet (30% rakeback), and Absolute Poker (30% rakeback). On Betfair, which is hastily qualifying members to join the European Team as part of the first ever Caesars Cup at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe, non-USA players can take home 30% to 40% rakeback and compete in a $2,000 exclusive rake race. Visit Betfair to learn more about the European squad, which is anchored by PocketFiver Annette Annette_15 Obrestad and also includes 2008 WSOP Main Event Champion Peter Eastgate.

If you’re a fan of the Cake Poker Network, we offer 33% rakeback on the Network’s flagship site as well as Power Poker and Players Only. A total of $9,000 in monthly freerolls is up for grabs across these three rooms. USA players can also test drive Minted Poker, which makes its home on the Everleaf Network and offers 40% flat rakeback.

Visit the full list of poker rakeback offers on PocketFives.com. We’ll see you on the felts!
