Day 4 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series was an eventful one on Saturday with PocketFives.com members final tabling both featured events. The 7th ranked online tournament player in the world, Phillip USCphildo Collins, was the big FTOPS winner on Saturday; taking home $62,700 for his 3rd place finish in Event #7 ($100 NLHE Rebuy). Phil is from South Carolina and has been one of the great stories of 2008; beginning the year unranked and quickly moving up to the top 10 worldwide thanks to his consistent results across major sites.
Sashi yoshdog22 Bobba (pictured) of Illinois final tabled Event #7 as well; taking home $36,600 after bowing out in 5th place. He was followed by Raoeoiku of Canada, who won $15,500 for 7th. Former ranked online tournament player Joshua bbbbb33 Weizer rounded out the final table in 9th place for $7,500. PocketFiver vacationfund of Canada was the lone member at the final table of Event #6; walking away with nearly #442k for 5th place in the $300k Guaranteed Pot Limit Omaha 6-handed tournament.
FTOPS action resumes today with three scheduled No Limit Holdem events. Event #8 (NLHE 6-handed Knockout) begins at 2:00pm ET, followed by Event #9 (NLHE Heads-Up) at 4:00pm ET and the $1.5M Guaranteed Event #10 will begin at 6:00pm ET. After four days of FTOPS play, PocketFives.com members have already taken home over $500,000 in cash winnings from final table appearances alone.
Players can compete in dozens of unique satellite tournaments every hour for a shot at FTOPS glory. Our readers are also encouraged to check out the high stakes FTOPS Contest which pits some of today's biggest online poker names against each other in a six-figure prize pool competition. Updates on the high stakes FTOPS Contest can be found here.
