New PocketFives Feature: Custom Leaderboards

By P5s Staff | Published Aug 04 2008, 11:14 AM

PocketFives.com members now have another fun way to interact with poker players around the world and compare their online tournament results with top ranked players from any country on the map.  PocketFives.com is proud to announce Custom Leaderboards - which can be accessed on the profile page of each member.

This new feature allows P5ers to run private PLB contests that can be tweaked to include very specific user-based rules.  Contests can be limited to certain PocketFives.com members; or managed to include individual tracked sites.  The retroactive Custom Leaderboard feature also provides a simple way to check overall performance by geographical location.  As long as a member has his/her screen names registered for the sites PocketFives tracks for rankings purposes, that person's online tournament cashes will be counted.

To run a customized PLB Contest, go to your P5s profiles page and click on the "Create a new custom leaderboard" link near the bottom of the page.  You will be taken to the New Leaderboard page, where you can create a name and description for your contest.  From there, you will be prompted to select start and end dates for the data collection.  After you've entered the dates, choose whether you'd like to include only certain P5s members or all members in a city, state, or country.

Our Online Tournament Rankings include the five largest online poker sites in the world, but you can customize your leaderboard to include results from only the sites you choose.  This feature can be enjoyed by online poker players of all tournament buy-in levels.  Anything from a high profile Monthly PLB competition to a friendly contest among a group of friends to see who can accumulate the most online tournament cashes over a weekend.  Following are a couple of examples of how Custom Leaderboards work:

Sweden - July Monthly PLB Race

Illinois, U.S.A.  -- August 1st thru August 4th

The custom leaderboard feature is only available to PocketFives.com members.  Signing up for a P5s account is free and instantly gives you access to post in our Online Poker Forums.  To create a PocketFives.com account, please see the Registration Page.  We're looking forward to what we believe will be a very popular feature for online tournament players.  Access your P5s profile today and create your own customized leaderboard or PLB contest!
