This Sunday, November 1st, marks a big day on PartyPoker, one of the world’s largest online poker rooms. The recurring Monthly Million will occur, promising big payouts in the $640 buy-in contest. Sunday will also mark the beginning of the Gladiator promotion, which triumphantly returns to the site. This time around, freeroll entries, cash prizes, and buy-ins to the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event will be up for grabs. So what’s at stake? How much can you win in the Monthly Million? What about by challenging the Gladiator? Let’s find out.
Last time out, PartyPoker member sebstop took down the $640 buy-in Monthly Million to the tune of $200,000, over 300 times his investment. Finishing as the runner-up was tommo662, who banked $110,000. Overall, 1,476 runners took to the felts, creating a $114,000 overlay, which was similar to that found in past installments of the Monthly Million. Members of the online poker community who made the final table included Dave DcHustler Cahill (fifth place for $46,000) and p0cket00 (seventh place for $26,000), the 97th player in the PocketFives.com Online Poker Rankings.
The Monthly Million runs on the first Sunday of every month and qualifiers are available from as low as $1. Daily, look for $70 Monthly Million Qualifiers in the lobby of PartyPoker that guarantee 19 seats into the seven-figure prize pool tournament. On Fridays, the online poker site holds a Mega Satellite with a price tag of $55 that assures at least 20 seats will be on the line. On Saturdays, check out $35 satellites that award a total of 18 spots in the Monthly Million. Players can also qualify via a series of country-specific freerolls and PartyPoints tournaments. From November 1st to 30th, PartyPoker will re-launch the
Gladiator promotion. Prizes ranging from $5,000 freeroll entries to five-figure
Aussie Millions buy-ins are yours for the taking just by racking up a minimum number of PartyPoints each day. Accruing 10 points for five days of the month will grant entry into a $5,000 freeroll. Racking up 10 points for 10 days or 20 points for five days will allow you to play in a $10,000 freeroll. The granddaddy of prizes is an AUD $10,500 Aussie Millions Main Event buy-in, which can be had by generating 1,000 PartyPoints every day in November.
Cash prizes are also available according to the following schedule:

Points do not have to be earned on consecutive days in the PartyPoker Gladiator contest and are not removed from your account. You can track your progress through your PartyAccount. The first place prize in the Aussie Millions is expected to be around AUD $2 million and the Main Event kicks off on January 24th. Three starting days will be held and the 2010 Aussie Millions feature tournament will crown its next champion on January 30th.
PartyPoker is the fourth largest site worldwide according to
PokerScout.com, which keeps tabs on online poker room traffic. It boasts a seven-day running average of 5,200 real money ring game players and is the second largest site or network not to accept U.S. players behind the iPoker family of rooms.

PartyPoker recently rolled out
bounty tournaments and has been celebrating the induction of its ambassador,
Mike Sexton (pictured at right), into the Poker Hall of Fame. Sexton will be formally enshrined in a ceremony that will take place on November 7th during the dinner break of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table.
