Day 4 action of the World Series of Poker Main Event concluded around midnight local time in Las Vegas, with over a dozen PocketFivers still in the hunt for a November final table appearance and $9,119,517 first place prize. As the players bagged their chips and prepared for more poker over the weekend, P5'ers Keith damurdera3 Ferrera (pictured), Peter number1pen Neff, and Owen ocrowe Crowe were among the chip leaders with over 1 million chips.
The play on Day 4 began with participants already cashing in the 2008 WSOP Main Event, as longtime fan favorite Devin TranquilChaos Porter (pictured) was among the first PocketFivers to be eliminated. Devin entered play on Day 4 with a short stack but was eliminated in 360th place when his short-stacked preflop shove with A

was called down by A

. Top ranked players Cliff JohnnyBax Josephy and Hunter the_Hunt_D Frey were both eliminated early on in Day 4 as well. In a cooler situation, Hunter got his remaining chips in the middle with top 2 pair on the flop, only to face a set when the cards were turned over.
Thayer THAY3R Rasmussen was involved in an emotional rollercoaster ride during Day 4; becoming short-stacked, then tripling up, and then being eliminated from the tournament. Thayer is known to have one of the calmest personalities at the poker tables, and needed all of that calm to rebound from losing a race with A

. A short while later, Thayer was able to triple up when his A

was good enough to win the pot at showdown, but was ousted from the Main Event when his pocket aces were no good against his opponent's pocket tens when the board gave his opponent a runner-runner straight. Dag dmmikkel Mikkelssen was also the victim of a cooler situation on Friday; running his pocket kings into pocket aces and collecting over $35,000 for 281st place.
Adam Roothlus Levy (pictured), who has impressive results in online poker Sunday major tournaments, ended Day 4 with over 700k chips. He played an interesting hand with fellow P5'er damurdera3 in which his pocket kings were good enough to win at showdown on a board of 4
