Sit and Go Madness Returns to Full Tilt Poker December 4th

By P5s Staff | Published Nov 29 2009, 10:29 PM |

This weekend, Sit and Go Madness, a wildly popular online poker promotion, returns to Full Tilt Poker. The festivities take place from Friday, December 4th at 16:00 ET to Sunday, December 6th at 16:00 ET. Its setup this time around is markedly similar to what we’ve seen in past installments, with the 48-hour promotion being divided into 24 two-hour time blocks. At stake are a variety of cash prizes in hourly and overall leaderboards, entries into the $50,000 Madness Freeroll, and my favorite aspect of the promotion, the Madness Raffle, where 1,000 prizes will be awarded.

Sit and gos highlighted in green in the Full Tilt Poker lobby are part of the promotion and are divided into four groups. The first is Group A, which consists of sit and gos with $1 to $2 buy-ins. Group B contains sit and gos with buy-ins ranging from $5 to $11. Then, there’s Group C, which consists of sit and gos with price tags between $20 and $33. The final subset of sit and gos is Group D, which encompasses tournaments with $50 to $110 buy-ins. The top seven players in each of the four groups will take home cash at the end of each two-hour period, ranging from $1 to $500. Here’s a look at what you can win:

An Overall Leaderboard for each group will also be kept throughout the 48 hours. On it will be the top results from the two-hour time blocks. For example, if you rack up 100 points in one two-hour period and 200 points in another, the 200 points will pop up on the leaderboard. At the end of the two-day promotion, the top two players on each group’s Overall Leaderboard, or eight total, will compete in a $5,000 freeroll where the top three places will pay out. The freeroll occurs on December 12th.

Besides the two-hour prizes and $5,000 freeroll, additional free money is up for grabs. Players who win two qualifying sit and gos during the promotion will be eligible to enter the $50,000 Madness Freeroll. You’ll be automatically entered for the freeroll if you qualify and first place will likely pay out around $5,000. The only way to enter is to capture titles in at least two sit and gos during the 48-hour window. The Madness Freeroll will play out on December 12th.

Finally, the Madness Raffle will award more than 1,000 prizes to participants in the promotion. That’s right, 1,000 gifts will be up for grabs. The grand prize is a tricked out Full Tilt Poker Home Game Package that includes a deluxe poker table, deluxe 500-piece chipset, a black leather poker deck case, and a red leather poker deck case. The table features cup holders and a slick Full Tilt Poker logo in the center of the felt. This is sure to turn any poker home game into the talk of the town and exactly one will be given out in the raffle. Here’s a preview to whet your whistle:

Ten players will receive 500 T$ each as part of the Madness Raffle, while 25 will take home 200 T$. In addition, $75 satellite tokens will be awarded to 75 Full Tilt players in the raffle, while another 100 customers will receive $26 satellite tokens. A total of 900 Full Tilt Poker hats and shirts round out the prizes up for grabs, so, as the online poker site notes, “Even if you don't make it onto one of the Sit & Go Madness Leaderboards, you still have a chance to walk away a big winner!”

Mark your calendars for Friday, December 4th at 16:00 ET, the start of Full Tilt Poker Sit and Go Madness.
