PocketFivers won seven major tournaments over the weekend, including a $99,000 cash for Ryan gutshtallin Welch (pictured) for his victory in the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up. Ryan is ranked #62 worldwide in online poker tournament play according to the P5s Rankings and could be on his way into the top 50 after Sunday's win. The largest score by a PocketFives.com member on Sunday came from tarheelkid, who won the Full Tilt Poker $750k Guaranteed for $132,788. PocketFiver Beaver Fever captured a victory in the Stars "Sunday 500" for $93,000. Hungary's breeth took down the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl for $72k on Sunday, while jcada99 won the Sunday Mulligan for nearly $50k. Shane shaniac Schleger won his second Stars $200 Sunday rebuy tournament in as many months and earned $48,750 for his efforts, while Kenny Hixx Hicks won the Bodog $100k for $23,600. Chicagocards1 had an impressive 3rd place finish in the Stars Sunday Million for $84,000 and Ramzi earned $10,500 for final tabling the same event.
There were three PocketFivers with 2nd place finishes in Sunday majors, as rusostreet (pictured) continued his 2008 online poker tournament run by earning $67,600 in the Stars "Sunday 500." Masterminds took home $39,300 for 2nd in the Sunday Second Chance tournament and JarredG of Australia received $27,000 for his runner-up performance in the UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed after placing 9th in the Bodog $100k for $1,300. Scott utterczar Utterback, a popular veteran forum poster on the site, won $11k for 5th place in that tournament followed by Joe ender555 Ebanks who placed 6th for $9,000. Bdfpoker10 was awarded $7,000 after finishing in 7th while webez rounded out the final table in 10th for $2,000. Rooney_Dives walked away with close to $27k for his 5th place showing in the Sunday 500, drbk2 won $11,500 for 8th and jimbomber cashed for $7k in 9th.
Scott SCTrojans Freeman (pictured) made more waves on Sunday with his $18k score for 4th in the Sunday Mulligan. Jet5087 took 5th in that tournament for close to $14k, bgitty made $10k for 6th and ImaLuckSac won $6,600 for 7th. S00tedj0kers placed 9th for $3,500. Stinky budz took home $35k for 3rd in the Sunday Brawl, followed by Pappe_Ruk who ended his tournament life in 4th for $27,650. Former ranked player dabears87 won $20,650 for 5th. Jeremiah Believer82 Vinsant won $31k for his 5th place effort in the Full Tilt $750k Guaranteed with PocketFiver scarface_79 winning $13,500 for 8th. The Stars $200 rebuy had an impressive final table as titantom32 won $21k upon finishing in 4th while treysfull21 busted in 5th for $14,400. Tiltyjoker placed 9th for $4,400. PkrMaster_21 collected $15,750 for 5th in the Stars Sunday Second Chance. Nutstr84444 won $12,750 for 6th and Telefonkiosk cashed for $10k in 7th.
The PartyPoker $300k Guaranteed featured three PocketFivers at its final table. Shorty81 was eliminated in 4th for $16k, dino_nothing won $5k for 8th and New Zealand's mathclub took home $4k for 9th. TheNorfman made $5,000 for 8th in the Titan Poker $250k Guaranteed and Archie1106 had a $7,000 score for 4th in the Bodog $100k. There were no PocketFivers at the final table of the DoylesRoom $175k Guaranteed.
