The last Sunday of March proved to be extremely profitable for long-time PocketFives.com member "UHBigTex," who captured 1st Place in the PokerStars Quarterly Sunday Million ($1,050 buyin) for $366,700! "UHBigTex" has been an online tournament grinder for several years, and has put up impressive results prior to his victory on Sunday. Also making the Sunday Million final table were P5'ers "driveseati" and "mendieta19," who finished 6th and 9th for $63,000 and $16,400 respectively.
PocketFiver "Pwnasaurus" took down the Stars 2nd Chance tournament on Sunday, earning nearly $53k in the process. He beat out fellow members Michael "SowersUNCC" Sowers, who placed 5th for $16k, and "holdplz," who earned $6,800 for 8th Place. Ranked online tournament player "makavelyces" finished in the Runner-Up spot in the Stars $200 rebuy for $34k, while "xxMONSTERxxDONGxx" continues his success in Sunday majors by finishing 4th for $18k.
Tim "Tmay420" West and Mark "The Omaholic" Roland earned a spot at the final table in the UltimateBet $200k Guaranteed on Sunday. Tim added $26,500 to his bankroll for 2nd Place while Mark took home $13,100 for 4th Place. Sunday's UB $200k Guaranteed had an overlay of 52 entrants, or $10,400. The Bodog $100k Guaranteed also had a substantial overlay, giving back $26,200 to the players who cashed, in the form of guaranteed prize money. P5'er "Aaron_Hacker" took 3rd Place for $9,200 and "papadelpoker" collected $6,900 for 4th Place in that tournament.
The Full Tilt $750k Guaranteed attracted over 3,800 entrants on Sunday, as former Triple Crown winner "Improved" took the first place prize of $135,000. PockerFiver "MattEMenz" made it to the final table and finished in 3rd Place - earning $53,500. The Sunday Mulligan on Full Tilt nearly doubled its guaranteed prize pool this week, as "ZepHendrix" took home the 1st Place prize of nearly $46k, while "GreatDANbino" cashed for $29k after finishing 2nd. He outlasted 2007 UB Aruba Classic Champion "TravestyFund," who earned $21k for 3rd. The Sunday Brawl attracted over 1,500 players, as "SowersUNCC" made his second major final table in one day - finishing 8th for $6,200.
