Pocketfives.com members won 6 major tournaments for the first part of this week, led by Mike tuna_fish_tank Stroh of Toronto, Canada, who took down this weeks Full Tilt Poker $1k
Monday for $80k. Just two months ago, Mike finished runner-up in the FTOPS Event #4 for $81,200. Forty-third ranked
player PreshaDrop of Germany finished 5th in this week's event, earning just over $22k. Anthony holdplz Spinella (pictured), who is currently ranked #72, earned $16k for taking 6th and FatalError placed 8th, taking home $8,000.
The second largest tournament this week was the
PokerStars
Super Tuesday, which paid out $315,000 in prize money. This week, just three Pocketfives.com members reached the final table, led by
Danny
THE__D__RY Ryan
of Spain, who finished 3rd for $35.5k. In April, Danny also won the $1K
Monday for $81.7k and was also a Sunday Million winner last Fall for
$190k.
Does888 placed 5th this week for $18.5k and Rafal
Driftdc5 Michalowski placed 8th for $7,800.
Monday's PokerStars $100 rebuy tournament saw six P5s members at its final table this week. BadgerPro (left)
was the eventual winner, earning $15.3k. This isn't this player's first
$100 rebuy win, however. In May '09, he took down the Sunday rebuy
tournament for $71,700. Todd tbt4653 Terry placed 4th for $6.2k, DuckU earned $4.2k for 5th, NicholasJ placed 7th for $2.8k and D1rtyR1v3r and JohnnyBax had
8th and 9th place finishes for $2.1k and $1.4k respectively. Monday's
Nightly $100k tournament only had 2 P5ers at it's final table this
week. Gustav Lagner placed 7th for $4.5k and donkcommited earned just over $3k for 8th.
Tuesday's PokerStars $100 rebuy tournament had 225 entrants this week.
Six P5s members made this week's final table, led by Cliff
JohnnyBax Josephy, in his second of three major final tables this week. Josephy finished runner-up for just over $14k, followed by
Waters in 3rd for $10.6k and Danye
BigDShaggyJ took 4th for just under $8k. Canada's
Norm427 took 7th for $3.6k,
athilla in 8th for $2.7k and
peachymer took 9th for $1.8k.
The Quarter Million on PokerStars had 810 entrants this week and six P5s members made it to the final nine, led by Maxx
mc4chess Coleman
of Kansas, who won this event outright for $46,875, just a few months
after he placed runner-up in the Sunday Million for $125k. Derek
Derek8 Lerner took 4th this week for $18.7k,
melikman earned $13k for 5th,
Claw1980 took 6th for $10.6k and
Hickboy and
dhilton12 had 8th and 9th place finishes for $5.6k and $3.5k.
Three P5ers were seen deep in Tuesday's Nightly $100k Guaranteed tournament.
Moosedebator, a
Triple Crown winner from California, won this event for $25.5k. Shane
shiver29 Shiver of Wisconsin earned $13.6k for 3rd and Norway's Ørjan
athilla Skommo finished 9th for $1.9k.
Wednesday's
$100 rebuy tournament on PokerStars paid $109,900 in prize money this
week. This weeks final table saw seven P5s members, led by
YanniYankievich of Canada, who outlasted the field of 279 to take home the $22.5k top prize.
Wuddacooler took runner-up for $16.4k, followed by
bjolla in 3rd for $12.4k. Ray
Exitonly Coburn took 6th for $4.9k,
SLOPPYKLOD in 7th for $3.8k,
bhanks11 in 8th for $2.7k and
1bigacehole placed 9th for $1.9k.
The
$100k Guaranteed on Full Tilt Poker had 359 entrants this week. This is
a $100 rebuy 6-max tournament, usually attracting some of the top
tournament professionals and known to be one of the toughest weekly
tournaments. This week, four seats at the final table were filled by
P5s members, led by 56th ranked player and Triple Crown winner
JohnnyBax
(right), who finished runner-up for $23.3k, setting his totals for this
week at over $35,000 in winnings between three final tables. Steve
McNallyville McNally was close behind in 3rd, earning just over $15.6k,
bounatirouIMO took 4th for $11.3k and
CalBandGreat placed 5th for $8k.
UltimateBet is the host for two large tournaments on Wednesday. The Sniper 80k Guaranteed tournament
had 441 entrants this week. Brandon 7DeLuX Wilkins was the eventual winner of this event, earning just under $20k for his accomplishment. Chris PiMaster Viox of Illinois finished runner-up to Wilkins for $12k, followed by jdawg217, who final tabled both UltimateBet majors Wednesday, earning $8.2k for taking third in this tournament. JohnnyGstaks placed 4th for $5.6k and Wiscomurray took home $2.4k for 8th.
Five P5ers reached the final table of the $150k Guaranteed
tournament, which is a $1,000+50 buy-in event. This week 148 players
entered this tournament and 26th ranked player Dan
Wretchy Martin (left) was the top finisher, taking 3rd for $17.6k.
Jdawg217 took 4th for $14.2k, setting his winnings for Wednesday at over $22k.
Busto_soon placed 5th for $10.8k,
Moosedebator earned $9k for 6th and
stpauli111 took 9th for $3.7k
