PocketFives.com members won 9 major tournaments for the first part of this week, which was kicked off by fiftieth ranked player blizair (pictured), who had an outright win in the Full Tilt Poker $1k
Monday for $76.7k. In April '09, this P5er earned his largest online
score of $183k when he placed 4th in the SCOOP Main Event ($1,050
NLHE). Ravi govshark2 Raghavan, who has been steadily climbing the rankings and is currently at #18, took third in this week's $1k for $36.8k. Mike shipitthisway McNeil walked away with $15.3k for 6th, HustlerGrune took 7th for just under $10k and da_professional earned $6.1k for 9th.
Monday's $100 rebuy tournament on PokerStars saw six P5s members at its final table this week. Anthony holdplz Spinella
began his impressive week with a victory in this event, earning just
over $20k after outlasting 252 other players. Bryan Squirrely1 Sapp finished runner-up to Spinella for $14.4k. Connecticut player ags104 finished in 4th for $8.1k, followed by Michael bigcoop23 Cooper in 5th for $5.5k. Chad M8kingmoves Batista pocketed $2.7k for 8th and kleath earned $1.8k for 9th.
Four P5ers were seen deep in Monday's Nightly $100k Guarantee
tournament. C_Allen of Massachusetts earned his largest online score of $25.2k for outlasting 930 players and winning this event. Aditya intervention Agarwal placed 4th for just over $10k, followed by redbob in 5th for $7.1k and MSU10s in 8th for $3k.
The
Super Tuesday on PokerStars had 323 entrants this week. Five
Pocketfives.com members reached this week's final table, led by Mario
TheRealPokerccini Puccini (left) of Germany who was victorious in this tournament, pocketing just over $66k for his win. Canadian player
Norm427 took runner-up this week for $48.4k. Ryan
toetagu Fair,
who had a win in the Wednesday Quarter Million earlier this year for
$52k, took 4th in this week's Super Tuesday for $27.4k. Brian
SN8WMAN Hawkins, who is currently featured on the cover of this month's Bluff Magazine, earned $18.7k for 5th place and
kice32 $14.5k for 6th.
Five P5ers packed the final table of Tuesday's Nightly $100k Guarantee tournament. Dante DCJ311 Jones,
who earned $37.4k just a few weeks ago for his runner-up finish in the
$ 215+R tournament, sealed the deal this week to win this event for
$25.9k. Canadian player smerks finished 4th for $10.4k, just over a month after his Sunday Mulligan win on Full Tilt Poker for $53.4k. Dan Wretchy Martin took 5th in this week's 100k for $7.3k, KJulius10 placed 7th for $4.5k and TheWopStop took 9th for $1.8k.
Tuesday's $100 rebuy tournament on PokerStars had 273 entrants this week, paying
out over $100,000 in prizes. Arkansas player stpauli111 was the top finisher from Pocketfives.com, taking 3rd for $11.8k. Luke IWEARGOGGLES Staudenmaier finished 4th for $8.9k, followed by 26th ranked player TravestyFund of Houston, Texas who pocketed $6.1k. Ronald jus2awsum Lee of New York took 6th for $4.7k, doubledave22 in 7th for $3.6k and Exitonly placed 9th for $1.8k.
The
$100k Guaranteed on Full Tilt Poker had 382 entrants this week and paid out over $150,000 in prizes. This is
a $100 rebuy 6-max tournament, usually attracting some of the top
tournament professionals and known to be one of the toughest weekly
tournaments. Four P5s members made this week's final table, led by holdplz (left), who added another victory to his resume, earning $36.5k for this win. Faraz The-Toilet Jaka,
who recently had a $774k score for his runner-up finish in the WPT
Bellagio Cup V, finished 3rd in this tournament for an addition $17k. JERRRY of Illinois finished 4th for $12.4k and 57th ranked player Grip took 5th for $8.7k.
The Quarter Million on Pokerstars had 929 entrants this week and Pocketfives.com member Geoff GeoffRas Rasmussen
of South Carolina was the eventual winner. Rasmussen had the chip lead
coming into the final table with over half of the chips in play and
never looked back, taking the $50.4k top prize and his largest online
score to date. _advanced of Dallas, Texas wasn't far behind, taking 3rd place for $27.1k. Chris sooooted Vaughn,
a professional player from Atlanta, finished 6th this week for $11.5k,
just over a month after his victory in the Sunday Second Chance for
$47.9k. Florida player gettin deep also made this week's final table, taking 9th for $3.5k.
Wednesday's $100 rebuy tournament on PokerStars had 7 P5s members at its final table, led by Canadian player roo_400, who was victorious in this event for $26.1k. Finishing runner-up was Davidp18 of Toledo, Ohio who earned $19.1k, followed by Matt pez102 Perrins in 3rd for $14.4k. toetagu finished 4th for $10.8k, just one day after his $27k score the previous night in the Super Tuesday. Ryan late_entry Gentry took 5th for $7.5k, thecronic420 finished 6th for $5.7k and improved earned $2.2k for 9th.
UltimateBet is the host for two large tournaments on Wednesday. The Sniper 80k Guarantee tournament
had 458 entrants this week. PocketFiver Jeffry crzysavage Gressard (right) was our top finisher, taking 5th place for $4.9k. Hemal masterhp Patel of Georgia took 6th for $4.1k, followed by TheYayoShow in 8th for $2.4k and DrunkPPlaya took 9th place for $1.6k.
Eight P5ers reached the final table of the $150k Guaranteed
tournament, which is a $1,000+50 buy-in event. This week 149 players
entered this tournament and phatcat, a Triple Crown winner from Kansas was the eventual winner and added $39.7k to his bankroll. Mossified84 of Las Vegas earned $24k for his runner-up performance. Taking 3rd place for $17.6k was 5th ranked player shaundeeb, who recently had a $28.7k score for his win in last week's Friday Night Fight on Full Tilt Poker. Triple Crown winner t soprano placed 4th for $14.2k, ags104 earned $10.8k for 5th, JERRRY took 6th for $9k and wenturi1 and dbt123 had 8th and 9th place finishes for $5.2k and $3.7k.
