This week's Podcast features interviews with 2006 Presto Award Winners Eric "Rizen" Lynch, Paul "GrapsFan" Herzog, and Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy.
Our 2nd Annual Presto Awards were voted on by PocketFives.com members who follow the progress of these high-profile names. Eric "Rizen" Lynch won two Presto Awards , one for "Greatest Online Accomplishment in 2006" and another for "Best Article in 2006". Eric's online success has been phenomenal, with victories in the PokerStars Sunday Million, Paradise $150k, Empire $250k, PokerRoom Weekly Big Deal; along with 2nd Place finishes in the PokerStars 2nd Chance and PartyPoker Special. His article, Spotting and Attacking Weakness in Online Poker, was voted as the best article on PocketFives.com in 2006.
Paul "GrapsFan" Herzog has been a contributing writer to the site since August 2005. An excellent poker player who is even better at putting his thoughts into words, Paul was voted "Best Contributing Writer in 2006" by his colleagues here at PocketFives.com. In his interview, "GrapsFan" goes into detail about the hard work it takes to move up the ladder and gives some advice for players who are just starting out, or who are playing on limited bankrolls.
Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy has already reached legendary status in the Online Poker community. A former #1 ranked online tournament player, Cliff is simply one of those people who has natural talent when it comes to the game of poker, whether he's playing online or live. His pleasant personality further endears him to PocketFives.com members from around the world, and it's no surprise he won the 2006 Presto Award for "Best Live Performance". "JohnnyBax" had close to $1 Million in cashes at live poker tournaments in 2006, including a 2nd Place finish in the UltimateBet Poker Classic in Aruba for over $400,000.
