The all-new PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Rankings were released last week, and the one player who moved to the top of the field was “Tmay420”. Tim was also ranked in the Top 75 in the previous rankings system, but now becomes only the 4th player ever to be ranked #1 in the world at Online tournament play.
Our interview with Tim will give listeners some insight into the struggles that go hand-in-hand with making it to the top. Our second guest is Andrew "MuddyWater" Wiggins, Co-Founder of www.cardrunners.com. Andrew is one of a handful of players who have made a very successful transition from tournament poker to cash games. Although he started his poker career by playing $.25/$.50 live games at college, he has since worked his way up to playing 4+ tables of $10/$20 No-Limit Hold 'em, where the full buy-in is $2,000 at each table. Andrew's story is interesting, and it shows a glimpse into the mind of a mature young man who refuses to sacrifice a college education, even if it means playing poker only part-time until he graduates.
