Controversy and Drama Bombs

By dhubermex

This week's Podcast features interviews with Justin "YourTimeIsUp" Schwartz and Jeff "YellowSub" Williams.

The past three weeks have been filled with drama in the online poker community.  When "YourTimeIsUp" created a thread outing former members DarvinHam and vvubanga for creating a fake account, PocketFivers from across the globe cheered in unison.  However, fame quickly turned into infamy when it was disclosed that Justin himself had enabled underage tournament specialist JJProdigy to play online poker after being banned by the major sites.

The legitimacy of online tournaments has now been put into question more than ever before, as news of buy-outs, ghosting, multi-accounting, and other questionable practices are perhaps days away from leaking to the mainstream media.  More than ever, poker sites are receiving pressure from loyal customers to act in the name of protecting the game's integrity.

Our interview with Justin "YourTimeIsUp" Schwartz is aimed at airing his side for purposes of objectivity.  The PocketFives.com Podcast has extended an offer to prominent and respected P5'ers who have a contrasting opinion to Justin's, and those interviews will likely be featured on next week's show.

Our second guest this week is Jeff "YellowSub" Williams.  Jeff took the poker world by storm in March of 2006 when he captured 1st Place in the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo for a cash of $900,000 Euros (approximately $1.1 Million US Dollars).  Jeff's tournament game is one of the best in the world, and he'll talk about his experience at last year's EPT Grand Final.

"YellowSub" also happens to be one of the largest backers in online poker, currently staking 15 online players in amounts from $2,500 to $50,000.  In his interview, Jeff gives advice to players seeking backing and discusses the pros and cons of the backing business.
