This week's Podcast features an interview with rising star Brandi Hawbaker, who turned a lot of heads at last month's Bellagio-WPT Championship Event in Las Vegas after amassing a huge chip lead early in the tournament.
Brandi currently resides in Sin City, but has lived in other parts of the U.S. throughout her life. Many listeners may not realize that Brandi was already a professional poker player well before her mainstream media exposure last month. She began her career playing cash games, and has now mixed in tournament play.
Some have recently questioned Miss Hawbaker's motivation behind marketing herself as an attractive young woman first, and a poker player second. But as you'll find out from our interview, she comes across as a very mature, bright, and genuine person. Even when we put her on the spot by shamelessly playing "middle-man" for PocketFiver "rusostreet," Brandi kindly answered all questions.
