This week's Podcast features interviews with the 2008 Aruba Poker Classic 3rd place finisher Jeff jpapola Papola and Jim Waters of the Bluegrass Institute.
The 2008 Aruba Poker Classic sponsored by UltimateBet featured a $1,000,000 first place prize. A total of 11 PocketFives.com members cashed in the event, with Jeff "jpapola" Papola taking home $477,000 for 3rd place following a 5-way chop deal. Jeff is currently attending Pace Law School in White Plains, New York and has a degree in economics and political science with a minor in philosophy from Rutgers. In his interview, Jeff talks about the experience of final-tabling a major live event and how his college education has helped him achieve success in online poker.
Our second guest is Jim Waters of the Bluegrass Institute (http://www.bipps.org/), who calls-in following a very disappointing ruling for online poker players in the state of Kentucky and throughout the United States. On Thursday, Judge Thomas Wingate handed down his decision which allowed a lawsuit aimed at seizing many online gambling sites in that state to proceed. Jim explains the decision to our listeners along with its implications during the interview.
