This week's PocketFives Podcast, brought to you by Carbon Poker,
features an interview John Pappas of the Poker Players Alliance, who calls-in on Wednesday May 6th, only hours after Congressman Barney Frank proposed HR 2267.
HR 2267, also known as the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act of 2009, would repeal the UIGEA regulation that are scheduled to be enacted later this year and would pave the way for the legalization of online poker in the United States. In his interview, John discusses the proposed legislation, and explains to our listeners what could be in store for online poker this year and beyond. John also talks about recent events in the state of Minnesota, where the Department of Public Safety has petitioned Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block certain online gambling-related content from its users. This petition has so far been ignored by the ISPs
