Waiting for Godot

By sheets | Published Feb 17 2005, 01:02 AM

Well, it is 6:38 a.m. Linkoping time, and I am awake and waiting....waiting for PartyPoker to unfreeze itself and resume the $150 limit tourney.  I have a better than avg. stack with 1/3 of the field left.  Also waiting for a report from the $2500 event at commerce where one of my horsies is still alive....waiting for a Stars sng to fill....oops just heard from horsie....gg sir.

I am pretty sure my next live venture will be the New England whatever they are callin it nowadays event at Foxwoods in early April.  We are probably gonna carpool/ferry it up with a bunch of degenerates (I mean, dedicated players) to play the 1k and 2k NL prelims and the 5k main event (all of this pending approval from mrs. sheets).  I was gonna go to Bellagio in April and try to play the 25k event, but the geniuses at WPT scheduled it to conflict with Passover.   VN, WPT

Doesn't look like the Party event is gonna resume, so I am gonna share this observation...

Somewhere in the past month or so there must have been a book written with the title, "King Queen....the great all in calling hand," because I have seen at least 20 all in calls with KQ over the last 2 weeks.  I have no idea what anyone is thinking when they do such a thing.  Perhaps there are new computer simulations which show that KQ really isn't dominated by AK AND AQ....and maybe new evidence exists that KQ is favored over underpairs....beats me.  (Stars sng just started btw....I never play much the first few levels anyway....oops lost 140 the first hand with AK)  Anyway, KQ is definitely the hand of the month, and if one more person calls an all in with it, I will be checking into the lunatic asylum.  Even people who lololololol right along with me at these callers seem to invent ways to justify it themselves...."ummm I put them on an underpair" or "umm....they were suited."  I wanna invent a special contact lense which you can wear, which makes KQ look like K2 so you won't play it....it sucks....it really really does.

Up to 1740 IN THE SNG....posting and folding till I am in 3rd place....OOPS just got KK vs ACES....but still barely alive.

P.S. Not to promote another site on this site, but NSXT2's realpokertraining.com is gonna ROCK....I think I was the first member, and the video content is a major innovation.

P.P.S. OUT IN 7TH gg sheets

P.P.P.S. We are sorry you faced a problem at the tables on your previous visit.

We have returned $599.10 to your account as you could not complete "Super Wednesday", the $150.00+$12.00 Texas Holdem tournament, which was cancelled on 17-FEB-05 at 05:26:06 EST.
