pokerpwnage question
By BamaHockey437 on 10-06-2008 5:50 PM

this is pretty much for anyone who is a member. I have a PXF account but I have not been using it as much lately. I was wondering how the MTT videos are on that site compared to the ones I have seen on PXF. How are the videos? Alot of concepts explained etc? The only concern I have is the amount of material compared with prices. Obv, Ppwnage doesnt have as much content out due to it being newer than PXF so I guess I am asking to the members is how much has it helped? Thanks

It's a decent site.  The best part about it is that the pros actually answer questions on the forums.

It's still not met my expectations, but I am understandable since it has just begun a few months ago.

Currently PXF is light years ahead, but I'm sure things will improve.

I think pokerpwnage has helped my game soooo much and is one of the best purchases ive made...i can attribute most of this to the GREAT content in the videos, along with the top pros posting on every post in the forums!...

people say there isnt enough content, there is tonsss of videos that will take you VERY long to catch up and by the time you do, there will be a ton of new videos out...so really it makes no difference...i keep up every week and they put 10 in last 10 days so im like 6 videos behind!...not much experience with PXF but it would be hard to top pokerpwnage...i suggest it to anyone

edit: o the there is a member tournamnt at least once a week that top 3 get free lessons with a pro...these are worth 150$ +++....and i have been lucky enough to have 2 and cant begin to explain how mch one can learn from talking to Assassinato, or ghettofabolous, or FU15, or uscphildo

i think its really really good for like beginner-intermediate, but I really dont find too many advanced concepts being discussed and am having difficulties learning lots of new stuff...sketchy1 and watcthesea are now members tho so that should be real good as i think they are both great players

The MTT videos are extremely good... the amount of content isnt there yet but the site gets better and more efficient every month...the one on one type of experience you can get is unmatched... they have weekly tournaments for 5 bucks where the top 3 get a free hour lesson, and the pros respond to every question in the strategy forums... more then that is that they are extremely open to suggestions to make the site better

I am a member for PokerPwnage and could not be happier. The number of Vids is going up faster all the time and the members are like family there in that they always take the time and explain in depth the questions I post. Absolutely no flaming and no one makes you feel stupid for asking questions, and believe me, I ask allot. I have PM'd the pro's om numerous occasion's and have always received a promply reply. Those guys are the best IMO. It has definately helped my game without a doubt when I take the time to implement the concepts taught.

BTW, I am still learning and one 2 lessons with the pro's, that has to be the best part of all.

I joined poker pwnage very early.  I find the vids there to be great as well as the pros. They spend time reviewing posted hands and giving there opinions on them.  The also give away lessons from the pros in the forum tourneys held on stars which i think are great.  I learned from herschelw early o in my poker playing and his mentor ship has made me a ton of money and helped me bsceom a good player.

i went on a downswing joined there site and turned it around almost instantly after 1 vid.  You will enjoy this site greatly and it will only get better as it grows

agree with TRMGM, fdel and ma77, especially with this line....the videos will only become better and the more people that join, the bigger pros they can get(although they cant get much better pros than they have now)!!!

Hey guys ! I am seriously considering joining as well :-)) Right now, I am a micro-lvl SNG grinder, but I cash a decent amount of times, plus I went deep in my first three MTT´s - granted, they were Freerolls, but good exercise : I got 165/1756 (shoving pocket eights with 9BB into AKo, getting rivered, obviously) 262/25.000 (threebet QQ vs. AK preflop, Flop came KK9, GG me) 88/4.027 (had worked my stack up to 93K at blinds !K/2K, lost a third of my stack on an Ace-High board, very passively played till the river; my A9s vs. his AJo; then another 30K on a two-barrel bluff - stupid me !!! Went out with A6s, shoving 15 BB into one of the medium stacks, after the shortie + Chipleader folded, he called with A8o) Anyway, tell me something about your experiences, what about the SNG-related content ??? Is that good as well + do they have some beginners stuff for MTT´s ? Thanks, beat
