Got woke up an hour ago by a bunch of kids outside in the street and they kept me up for the last hour. Then they started climbing a small tree out front (that could have easily broken) and that was the trigger, so I called the cops. I hear the cops telling them they're 15.
I figure the cops would just chase them off, whereas if I go out there they call me a fat grumpy old man and egg my house tomorrow night.

Those sons of bitches, dont they know its America's birthday? How dare they be outside and climbing trees, they should be inside with the lights off gorging themselves with fried food and watching tv!!! Call the cops on these unamerican bastards, i bet they arent even overweight!!

i'd of just told them to get outta the tree and move along...if they'd of fallen from a branch and hurt themselves your ass is toast (sued)..same thing happened here to a neighbor a few months ago..how dare you let someone fall from your tree that you didn't even know was there

Well, dolphin, I guess you and I are the only ones who think that children playing out on the street unsupervised at 3am is worthy of a call to the police. The parents probably would have sued you if their kid fell off the tree and got hurt on your property but, you know, don't be such a grouch.

33 percent - hating on dolphin13 is cool 33 percent - can't stand the cops 33 percent - posters age is much closer to 15 than that of being a parent

i get pissed at random things outside that wake me up but then i remember i'm a degen and it's my own fault cause it's 2pm and i'm still sleeping.

even though they weren't, I should have said in OP that the kids were black. If there's one thong that OTers hate more than dolphin13, it's black people.

But I personally would've gone out and chased the punks off and I woulda had my gun with me instead of calling the police.
Having said that, when you're behaving in an idiotic way, bad things often happen, like when you're climbing trees in a stranger's yard at 3 a.m. and suddenly out of nowhere the cops show up.
