I used to play aoe alot when i was addicted back in the day on zone.com...anyone else ever this most epic of games?

I played this game for about an hour. The game's interface was really confusing for me and I really had no clue. This game pwned me :(. Didn't play second one.

yeah, played it in highschool etc.. when we were 15, my buddy played in some tourney online that was like the world championship of AOE and got to the final either 8 or 4 player match either to win the championship or go to vegas to play the last one live or some shit. think he said they ganged up on him from all directions and were colluding or cheating lol. AOE 2 seemed even better, but never really got into it as much
grew out of it, but was fun as shit, but real time consuming and addicting, and why i stopped video games back in the day, but im so unproductive as it is now, i got ps3 a few months ago and was scared to learn something other than 8bit nintendo or 3-button sega. all this new shit seemed too complicated and fast for my old run down ass.
but im starting to get into Civilization on ps3, really similar to AOE, but really time consuming and i end up playing til 10am the next day before i know it, so i have to limit myself to only playing a couple times a week.
Is there any way to play Age of Empires on ps3? civilization is cool and realistic, but id rather stay in the medieval times etc. like in AOE rather than having planes vs. archers etc. in civilization

warcraft was the original game of this nature that started it all, then age of empires came out shortly after, only with all humans instead of orks or whatever those green things were in warcraft
btw, wolfenstein was the shit, og of shooter games

Me love aoeIII. One of my favorite games of all time. I got real good with some of the rushes, especially with the ottomans and Sioux. But some of the online players are so fucking good it's retarded.

I still have AOE 2 beside the computer just in case I get an urge. And Wolfenstein was awesome but nothing beats the original Doom.

I picked it up my freshman year of college bc my neighbors in the dorm had like an 8 player game going at all times.. I'm still addicted to Age of Conquerors to this day
This. And it continued after college when 4 of us rented a house together and networked the computers. Many Sundays in the NFL off-season lost to epic battles...

played as celts, japanese or vikings depending on board or strategy...

i played aoe/ror, but never online. i played aok/aoc online and played at a pretty high level in aoc. some of the best random map team games, made a couple spotlights on mrfixitonline :) also played age of myth and did pretty well with that but never followed it to its expansion. thats about the time i started rockin socom 2 on ps2. tons of fun though. i loved the video game days and i think im gonna try and put aoc back on my pc so if anyone wants to set a game up let me know
