Brandi dead?

Posts on NWP and 2p2 say that Brandi, of Brandi and Captain Tom, of Brandi and Skalansky, of Brandi stealing all of her boyfriends earthly possessions, has killed herself.

Don't know if this is a repost, but with no search function, I have no idea.

I recall someone vaguely threatening her life in a message not too long ago, I hope the police investigate it thoroughly.

i thought a little while back on here a poster made a thread talking about how time after time, the poster tried helping her and he finally gave up because no matter what he would do for her she would scew him over and then eventually come back to him in shambles, asking for help and promising she has changed or would change and then kept repeating this cycle

I have mixed feelings on this.  First off, I'm pretty sure it's legit because I don't think that even MIcon is fucked up enough in the head to make a level like this and the fact that Alex Jacob confirmed pretty much seals the deal for me.

Anyways, on one hand, it's not like the world or even the poker world lost a good person.  Brandi (from what I read) did a lot of things that directly hurt other people.  She lied, stole, manipulated to anybody who got close to her and then when she fell on her ass, she went back to them and played the poor me card.  More than one person made a strong effort to help her and get her on track to become a normal human being, but she refused to accept a lot of her problems and eventually pushed all these people away.

On the other hand, I very much doubt that she was that way on purpose and that was how she wanted to live her life.  She obviously had some psychological problems that we can only speculate to what they were and where they came from.  Unfortunately, she did not have the strength to overcome these obstacles even though several people had tried to help her in doing so.  In the end, she made a conscious decision to continue on her destructive path, and ultimately, she took the easy way out.

The fact that suicide became her only option and that the gambling/poker world were a catalyst for her problems is what saddens me.  A young person taking their life saddens me, especially when they've shown potential like she did.  I hope she has found her peace.
