the system is being changed so that quality can be improved by the doctors and hospitals themselves can do a better job of providing quality care.

The focus of healthcare will move to Washington, D.C. Not Bethesda, not Falls Church, but right downtown to an office building filled with people working cubicle jobs and policy makers determining what coverage you will have and how much it will cost and whether or not you will get it and when they fuck you over there will not be a damn thing you can do about it. Good luck in your dream world utopia of low cost quality healthcare for everyone. Tell me this. How will the government know how much to charge people for their premium? My guess is that it will be a complete clusterfuck. It can't even friggin sell cars now its going to sell health insurance, just lol.

btw it appears Obama did lie about providing healthcare to illegal immigrants, at least this version allows illegal immigrants to buy from the exchange, they just don't get the subsidy. That's it, punish them. If they can't afford it without the subsidy they can pay 2.5% of their AGI. Wait, though, do illegals even file tax returns? Great plan. Well thought out. Maybe we can put them in prison for not having health insurance. This compassion thingy is real neat. I wonder how many poor American will be assessed penalties for not buying the government plan even with the subsidy.
LIAR!!
Nope - illegal immigrants will be immune to the various penalties citizens face under the Pelosi bill

Neeek, on what do you base your assertions that all things grand things will occur under this reform? I ask because it seems that you focus on the conclusory talking points, lower cost, better quality, etc. What reasons do you have for believing that this will actually happen? Can you relate any specific part of this bill to how it will make these dreams come true? I seriously do not get how this government program will be any different than any other failed government program. How does the language in this bill translate to these admirable objectives. Saying just doesn't make it so, neither does support from organizations and professional groups.
btw I am not a republican. I did not vote for any republicans in the last election. I distrust republican and democrat politicians equally. and in response to your assertion that the current healthcare debacle already resides in Washington, I agree, but this reform will give Washington a strangle hold, complete control, not just influence and regulation. How do you support your contention that it will return healthcare to communities?

Using what logic does improving care control costs? Better care means more costs usually.
Even if I accept your logic, you have no data that backs up the claim that long term costs will go down because of this bill, that is mere speculation. The only analysis I've seen says that costs will go up over the next ten years or so. If you have other, please post it, I'd love to see it.

I missed that part. Sweet. Take the benefit, legally and legitimately, but have no obligation to contribute, ever. That's a system that could work. I wonder what this will do to the existing illegal immigration problem. You don't suppose that when poor Mexicans and Latin Americans figure this out, they will risk everything they have to get here, especially when they are already have medical problems that aren;t addressed in their home country. Open the flood gates. Come to think of it, if healthcare is a right, how can we deny it to any human being? Come to America!

I've visited and it's really gorgeous. Probably the nicest setting for a campus that I've been to after Pepperdine and UCSB FYP

5.5 million jobs lost because of this and people are for it. So you want to take away someones job now for your agenda, their money wasn't enough.

Your government is not about helping you. It is about getting and maintaining power. This scene has been repeated over and over again through out history and people keep doing the same thing over and over and over again. Either they have no knowledge of history or they are arrogant enough to think that it will be different this time.
You'd think this would be common sense.
The public school system has def succeeded in convincing people that govt is your friend. Ignorance is bliss.

i'm hearing from a few doctor friends that the AMA is very divided on this and losing members. They say that the board was not aware of the endorsement and some infighting has been going on, should be interesting. Soon the only members left will be academia, pretty close to that now anyway. The CBO says this will drive up costs to the individual, Nancy Pelosi says it will drive down costs. Neek is a Pelosipuppet (thought we raised him better Willy)
