My Father and cancer

Not sure if this allowable by p5's rules and whatever but my dad is starting a chemo treatment at the end of this month and as anyone knows its quite expensive..I will be paying for a lot of it, but cant take care of it all as a lot of my money is not liquid.

Anyone looking for a tax write-off donation, or just a good karma donation if you could contact me for info or if you like to do it anonymously contact the State Bank of Southern Utah. I believe the fund is Dean Porter Fund..

Also, any ideas to raise money? A poker tournament? I dont know..kind of at a loss for words, this is  all happening so sudden.

Sorry if this is against p5's Terms of Service mods feel free to delete if so

Thanks

Does anyone know how to set up a website to accept donations?

I know most people just add a link to a paypal account.  as far as space and name, i can give website space, but i dunno how to add domain names and crap, since my knowledge is very basic. but i guess an easy way around that is to get a blog site name or one of those free sites and you can make the domain name whatever you want.

Sorry to hear about your dad, hopefully everything works out.  I would be willing to play a benefit tourney as well.

total prayers and super positive energy sir.

it is a tough road, but one, that when your father looks back on, he will hold his head up high and say he lives in the good, and in the now.

but what do I know about that?

in for a tournament, and shippage of plenty of abide.

I feel your pain. My Dad has M.S. They have chemo theropy for that too. My Dad was able to do the first two, of six treatments and then his health insurance companies got changed on him and he basicallly got screwed on the deal and no longer can afford the treatment. His neighbor has/had M.S., he went through the treatment and he got his normal life back. It kills me to hear stories like this, its too bad that insurance companies care more about making money then saving lives. Thats a great idea to set up Fund for your Father. I will have too look into that. Also, if u have a charity tourney, I am in. Post it on P5.

I hope he recovers before you even have a chance to collect the money.

Here's hoping to a speedy recovery. Best wishes.
