Kasilof, you are the worst poster I have ever seen on P5s.
Just because you watch Hannity, Rush, MedVed, and OReilly does not make you right. They are morons and queers. This is all the result of Bushs kill whomever I want policy. They need to protect themselves.

all the missles they just test fired were short range, < 100 miles, and med range. < 250 miles, i feel pretty safe

Though I am not comfortable with North Korea having Nukes, I have never understood why the US feels the need to tell what countries can have them and which ones cannot.
Every country has the right to protect its people and to be an independent sovereign state. I realise that the people are treated poorly and that their leader is a nut job.
What gives the United States the right to enforce its rules on other countries while we ourselves have 70,000 nuclear weapons in the U.S. arsenal and are the only country to have used them?
Flame on :)

Well its the international community along with US that pushes for countries to not develop nuclear weapons.
Also the countries that currently do have nuclear weapons are not going to use them unprovoked. The US is not going to nuke Iran because we disagree with their religious views or simply don't like with them. Whereas N. Korea or an Iran are much much much more likely to Nuke somebody.
Yes we are the only country to use them and i think we regret using them because while we knew the devastation they caused i dont think we really knew the power of them. (if that makes sense) This is why we and nobody else has used them ever since.
This is also why we tell people not have them, because we have gone through the process of actually using them. Its like an ex-addict preaching to people about not using drugs.
Thats the way i view it.

Very good points and I really hope that is the case. Lately things just seem so shady and its hard to determine what our (the US) motives are.

well if we have 70,000 nukes sitting around lets send about 15 of them son of bitches up Kim's ass and then start the talks.

Kimmi's going to fire at Japan. They are well within range. No nuclear retaliation will be possible as neither China, Russia nor South Korea will approve a response. Russia especially must be careful with North Korea. Whilst the vast majority of the population is in the far west, the eastern portion is very mineral and oil rich. They cannot have this rendered radioactive for decades.

I would think that China would be coming down on them allot more in that they would suffer from any retaliation as well. We should just blow Kim's ass away. Leave the poor people alone IMO.
