Sarah Palin is resigning as Governor. I guess she can't take the heat.

UPDATE: KTUU-TV in Anchorage reports that Palin not only won't seek re-election, but will resign later this month.

ORIGINAL POST: Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has announced she will not run for re-election in 2010, CNN reports. She's scheduled to make an announcement shortly.

I wonder what the scandal is?  Did she get caught having an affair?  Did another one of her daughters get knocked up and she decided to actually be a mother for once?

i agree, Just like Obama being president is a joke.  They both have proven little in their short political careers.

Last time I checked, feminist groups were mildly concerned with this little issue called abortion...where does Palin stand on that again?

So, what you are saying, is that feminist groups are a one issue clique?

Yeah, that actually makes sense.  Reason for me to hate them even more.

The GOP would actually have a better shot at getting Ron Paul in the White House.  But he makes too much sense when he speaks so we can forget about that idea.

Why? If you do not like her politics, i can understand.  But, this sounds more like you despise her personally?  Fuck i hate people sometimes.

I hope she does not run because unlike the left(obama), i would rather have someone in office w/ proven political success.  A conservative who has historically wanted and voted for smaller government, lower taxes, etc.  Few exist anymore and thats why the true fiscal conservative in the republican party are so pissed off right now.

Anyway, people hating on Palin are a joke.

ummm, what a shit post. Maybe it's because I disagree with most of what she says when she finally does get the courage to say anything at all, and not because I have something "personally" against her. When she first started running I was one of the people that said to at least give her a chance before we just write her off as from Alaska and no good. Man that was a bad idea. Fuck I hate people sometimes.

She's a joke that deserves to be hated on. I want someone to run that's actually worth a damn and ends the neo-conservative morality legislation and money spending bullshit.

Paul has growing support, but, he is far too old now.  He will be 75 in 2012 i believe.  I think it would be a great time for Ron Paul to pick a predecessor and promote him in the next couple years to give his ideas a chance to pass on.

I know many young adult that believe in his ideas of being conservative fiscally and liberally morally(meaning government gets out of the way of any moral decisions).  In fact, i know many adults that would compromise some of their social conservative views just to get someone who is a true fiscal conservative in office.

I hope he picks a predecessor soon.

i would bet money that your dislike for her stems more from her religious social views vs. your scientific views.  Reading some of your posts in the past, you tend to look down on people who promote religion, but look highly upon people who promote science.  I might be wrong though.

I don't look down upon anyone. In fact, the that's basically the one thing I hate.

I also don't care if people promote religion. All I care about is that no personal freedoms are restricted by our government in the name of religion. That's it.

Me thinks you should stop presuming things. In this thread and others.

Underdog must be pissed he wasn't the OP.

There was either something really bad getting ready to come out, or she just got tired of all the frivolous ethics complaints.

Sarah Palin getting limited support from feminist groups is just another reason why those groups are a joke and completely biased.  If she had a 'D' next to her name, they would of supported her and put up a fight to all those that bashed her.

Has nothing to do with this article, i just really hate feminists.

she didn't get support from feminist groups because she isn't a feminist! lol!

if she would have had a D next to her name she'd likely be a very different person!

so you hate equality between the sexes. nice life you got there.

so you're saying the only good feminist is a liberal one?

or that the liberal world view of a woman is the correct one?

my wife doesn't agree.

She's a stay at home mom, and is shunned by your liberal idea of feminism.

those groups only support liberals.  his point is valid.

Actually I'm saying the exact opposite.  Your post implied that feminist groups should blindly support female candidates for office no matter their policy positions or ideological leanings.  I used abortion as an example of an issue women's groups care passionately about and on which they differ from Palin's stance, thus preventing them from supporting her just because she's a woman
