Venus Williams to win 2-0 vs. Serena (+200)

Roger Federer to win 3-0 vs. Roddick (Even)

roger and venus are just too good on grass.  Neither opponent has much of a chance to steal a set.  I think Roddick is like 2-18 vs. Fed or something gross like that.  Nice job beating Murray and whatever, but it's over.  Roger has to take advantage of every grand slam opportunity he can without Nadal standing in the way, and he is going to bury Roddick to get the all time record.

Not bad bets, but risk doesn't match reward if you ask me.

Williams final is destined for 3 in my view, Venus has rolled but Serena steps up against her sister.  Venus is superior on grass, but anything goes here. 5-2 career record in finals i believe for Serena (don't quote, not 100%)

This is a different Roddick in my view - he looks very confident out there and is not rattled by stupid things (so it seems), but of course I still see Roger in 4.

Just playing devil's advocate here. . . .  GL in your bets (whatever you choose to do)

I think you have to give the edge to Venus on grass. Sarena also seems a little more emotionally fragile than Venus if things don't go her way early. But let's face it, they both know each other's game, they're accustomed to playing each other in big matches, so neither has a clear edge on any given day.

Sarena could possibly get steam-rolled in straight sets, but I think it's going to be Venus in 3 sets, winning the 3rd set like 6-4 or 7-5.

Roddick is over-matched against Federer. That's a no-brainer.  So is every other guy on the circuit except Nadal.

But as WhiteRabbit said, this doesn't look like the same Roddick out there. This new Roddick could give Roger a run for his roses. Again it will depend on who gets off to a good start. If it's Roddick, Federer may be in deep trouble. But if Federer breaks out to a set and a break lead, it's probably over for Roddick. He's already proven his point by reaching another Grand Slam Final, and you know Federer wants to win this championship and separate himself from Pete Sampras and the rest of the men's tennis world as the best ever.

Should be a great match. In fact if both players start out playing at a high level, this match could rival the Federer-Nadal match of the century last year before it's over.

To me, the real Cinderella story-line would be Roddick finding a way to dig it out 14-12 in the fifth rather than Federer getting his 15th Slam Title, but I'm American so I'm gonna be prejudiced.

I like the first bet (esp. at +200), don't like the second. Venus has played excellent (Serena has played well too, but she's coming off a 3 setter than went 8-6 in the third in the semis - Venus won 0-1 I believe). Plus Serena has to carry that huge ass all over the court, so that adds to the fatigue.

Don't like the second. I think Federer wins, but Andy will steal a set. I can't see Federer breaking him each set and if Roddick gets to a tiebreak, his chances of winning that set are really, really good. He's 26-4 in breakers this year iirc.

I really, really want to believe this, as I'm a big fan of Roddick.

However, this story has happened before over and over again...Andy Roddick plays out of his mind, and then he runs into Roger, who makes him look like he's barely even a professional tennis player.  If this was on hardcourt, I'd give Roddick a fighting chance.  Roger's just too good on grass though, and historically seems to have little problem handling roddick's serve.

Men's Tennis is pretty much ruined at the moment.  You have Federer and Nadal, and then zero other players who can baseline with them or cover the court as well as they do.  What we need is some kind of ridiculous serve and volleyer like Patrick Rafter to come out of nowhere and give them something to deal with that they're not used to handling...like, imagine if Ivo Karlovic wasn't the frankenstein monster, and could actually cover court and develop an awesome net game.  Wouldn't that be fun?
