When I was a kid I used to love listening to the Eagles radio announcer Merrill Reese. We would turn on the big stereo in the living room and mute the TV so we could hear him.

Back then the Eagles never seemed to beat the Cowboys. One Sunday I had a bowling tournament and my dad came to pick me up. We listened to the game on the way home and amazingly the Eagles were winning late in the game. But Aikman, Emmitt, Irvin and the boys were driving.

I think they had picked up 9 yards on 1st down and were facing a 2nd and 1 in Eagles territory.

They ran 2 straight runs to Emmitt up the middle and were stuffed by the stellar Philly D.

It was 4th and 1.

Merrill: They give to Emmitt. THEY STUFF HIM AGAAAAIN!!!! THE EAGLES HOLD ON 4TH DOWN!! THE EAGLES ARE GONNA WIN THIS GAAAAAME!!!

It was awesome. The Cowboys were like these amazing god-like men we could never beat. Probably one of my fondest memories with my dad.
