Hi-
Can you explain how exactly RB is calculated at PLayers? I thought I understood it but I cannot duplicate their results. Are PLO tables possibly treated differently then Holdem?
Here is the method as I understand it- plz correct me if i am wrong.
1) THey use hands dealt method
2) MGR is your percentag of total raked at table. (ex: 6 people in hand, $3 rake, $.50 assigned to you)
So I wanted to do some calculations to see what X volume of playing would do in terms of rake. I got PO to send me my ring game activity in a spreadsheet ofr the month, with FPPs by table. (THey didn't have rake)
A) BUt, I Know that we get .5 FPP per $ of table rake.
B) so, i should b eable to multiply FPP's at a table received by 2 to get total table rake.
C) dividing this by number of players at the table should give me the MGR for that table. (I used 6 or 9 players as the assumption based on table size.)
D) I tried this for a one day period where I only played 3 tables. And of course I got double the MGR they reported. I think I got the holdem calc right since pokertracker gives me a number that is close, but if that is right, the n the 2 omaha tables...well i dunno how they do that math!
I did send a ticket to advanced supprt thrugh P5 rb live chat... but I think a little explanation of how this works in detail would be helpful both to me and others that might wanna see the nuitty gritty.. THanks Z

Hey - What you stated is correct about how it's calculated. It's definitely the same at Omaha as it is at Holdem as well. And yes PokerTracker uses the dealt method to calculate MGR, so it should give you a number that is close. I would find that probably more reliable than using FPP's...
What I do know about Players Only is that at least in our affiliate back end, player rake stats are always on a 3-day delay. I'm not sure if it's the same in the player VIP status area, but that might explain why the up to the minute numbers aren't always exactly what you'd think they would be. They also only update that area once per day, and it's hard to say exactly what the cutoff is for when one day ends and another begins. The best way to check on them would be to do it over a period of a month. If your PokerTracker MGR stats there are vastly different for a whole month than what your final monthly totals say after about the 4th or 5th of the following month, then we'd need to investigate.
