I'm creating this thread to answer as many questions as possible about rakeback on existing accounts, while not letting the forum get flooded with repetitive questions that are asked almost every day. Please read our sticky post about rakeback on existing accounts for answers to some basic questions. The topics that are most often covered (as you'll see if you read down in this thread), are: - Can I convert my existing account on Full Tilt to rakeback?
- Can I create a new account on Full Tilt for rakeback?
- Why do some players get rakeback while others do not?
- What is a good site to switch to if I can't get rakeback on Full Tilt?
We strongly encourage you to read our sticky post and responses in this thread before creating a new thread or post asking about rakeback on an existing account. While we know these are very important questions for everyone, your answers are usually already here.

Hi -- please read the sticky post on this issue for detailed information. To be brief, you can't get rakeback on Stars (no one can), and you can't be retagged or start a new account on Full Tilt, though some people have succeeded getting into their in house program by emailing Full Tilt support and asking to get on the list for that. You may be best suited to start an account on a new site for rakeback, such as Cake Poker, as rakeback on Full Tilt may take a while to get or could likely not even be a possibility for you.

Can I still sign up for rakeback with an existing ftp account?

Hi, The answer is generally no, unfortunately. There's a sticky post in this forum with more information about this. If you have other questions that aren't answered there, please feel free to post them.

Hey, I have a full tilt poker account and am not getting rakeback. Is there a way to get rakeback? If not, could I just delete my account and start a new one to get the rakeback? Thanks for any help!

No you cannot, and it is difficult to get rakeback on an existing account but e-mail them about it.

Is there anyway to get rakeback setup on Full Tilt with your existing account? I've never really looked into rakeback before but since I'm starting to transistion to cash games I figure it would be advantageous to get if possible. Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, Please read the sticky in this forum on this topic. The short answer is that you can't do it through someone like P5s, but Full Tilt may hook you up directly if you email them. If you can't get rakeback there, you should definitely look into rakeback on Cake Poker or one of the other sites we offer here. There are several good alternatives. --Adam

I have an old account on full tilt and I need to get rakeback. Is there any way to get it even though the account has already been established?

There are a few RB sites that will add you to their rake list if you haven't been active in the last six months. I don't know if P5's does this or not. Click on the RB info and ask!

This isn't quite accurate... Full Tilt has an in-house program called RakeBackPros that can sometimes get an existing player rakeback. You have to email Full tilt's support to get on the list for that. None of the other rakeback sites can get existing players rakeback, as Full Tilt generally does not retag players to new affiliates or allow players to create new accounts.

this is gonna sounds stupid - but i kinda missed the whole rakeback boat...
do you HAVE to join a new site in order to get it? or can it apply to an existing account?? Surely there are heaps of players who have been playing on stars since birth and havent had to re-join a site in order to get rakeback....
I've been with stars since late '06 and i dont want to make a new account for me to get it. Is there anyway i can still join a rakeback program? did i miss something?
Sorry if this is a re-re-re-re-repost, but it seems everyone has rakeback but me.....

Yes, it's for new accounts only, but there are more sites to play on than you know. Nobody gets rakeback on Stars, though their VIP program (which everyone gets) is comparable. I'm moving this post to the rakeback forum... I'd highly recommend joining a new site if rakeback is something you'd like to get in on. We've got a lot of great deals here: rakeback.pocketfives.com. --Adam
