What is rakeback? And how do I get it?

What is rakeback?

If you play online poker, the poker site you are playing on is taking a cut from all of your play.  In cash hands, they take a rake from every pot, and in tournaments you pay an entry fee to join.  For most of you who play regularly, this adds up over time to something substantial.  For some, it adds up to thousands of dollars every month!

For many years, advertisers (affiliates) have been paid based for bringing new players to poker sites by receiving a percentage of the revenue (rake) that is generated by their referrals.  Several years ago, some of these advertisers started realizing that they could generate many more sign ups by offering a chunk of their earnings back to their players as an incentive both to sign up under their links and for continued play.  Hence, rakeback was born.

Today, the rakeback industry is highly regulated by the poker sites including having hard caps on percentages we can offer.  PocketFives offers you the highest allowed percentages on every single one of our rakeback offers, as well as a lot of significant extras such as rake races, rake chases, and freerolls that can add to your bottom line each month.

Basically the question is, do you want extra money for doing what you're doing anyway?  We're sure that everyone's answer is "yes."  Thereby when signing up a new account on a poker site, it's in your best interest to do so through the rakeback portion of PocketFives, following the instructions below.

How do I sign up?

When you want to sign up for a new poker account, you can make sure here that you'll have access to the best allowed benefits on that room.  This can include a rebate of a significant portion of the rake you pay while playing on the site.

What you need to do to ensure you receive rakeback is first go to http://rakeback.pocketfives.com and create a free account.  This account is separate from the one you use here to post in the forums.  Once you are in the system and logged in, you can sign up for any of our rakeback offers, which are each featured in the left sidebar of all pages on that portion of the site.  Be sure to follow all instructions on the sign up page to make sure you are properly signed up.

It will usually take a few days to see in the system that you are tracked to PocketFives for rakeback.  Once we have confirmed that you are in fact tracked to our rakeback program, the status on your My Account page will change from "Verifying" to "Linked."  At that point, you'll be able to view your stats via your My Account page and will receive rakeback payments on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis depending on which poker room you are playing on.

If you have any problems with this setup or questions about how it works, please don't hestitate to contact our Support Department via the following page: http://rakeback.pocketfives.com/support.  Our staff is highly trained in answering any questions you may have, and they'll be sure your needs are handled in a timely manner.
