1$/2$ casino NL. Villain doesnt seem very experienced at poker but has been playing very cautious, check calling with overpairs and TPTK, basically playing like a nit most likely becuz he's playing out of his bankroll. He does seem like a newbie though.
Villain(700$ stack) is MP and raises from 2$ to 5$ 1 late position caller Hero(300$ stack):Black Kings, raises from 5$ to 25$ Villain calls LP folds
Flop: Qs 7s 3s
Hero bets 40$ into 57$ pot Villain raises from 40$ to 100$ (he does it in 2 seconds and then starts giving a confident staredown, which to me means strength) Hero???????????

Hahaha mate your a dead set clown, when there is dickhead loser's like your self on here it isn't any wonder most pro's dont even bother with P5's anymore. If Chad has some advice to offer you I suggest you take it,unless you have millions in tourny wins no one know's about.

makingm0ves said my fold was murder, dat I shuld quit poker, and pretty much called me a liar. I highly doubt that is considered "good" advice im supposed to "appreciate" from a top "pro".

May have been tough "advice"..
..but i'm never ever not shoving that ever in that spot. If he turns up AsAx.. then I lube up my pocket and slide out another buy-in.
As villan played and as described, I can't at all put him on a made flush. QQ is rather possible, and i'm stacking anyway.

Also I disagree with Hitman who said he was scared with As Qx. If you have top top with the nut flush draw I'm not sure you are scared.
I agree with you, he shouldn't be scared, I wouldn't be scared, but villain was described as a very inexperienced noob who was playing very cautious... that's the one type of player that might actually be scared of KK or AA here.

If he turns up AA here, then he is not quiet as inexperienced as you believe, as he has taken two totally different lines with that hand.

The line he took with aces the first time he got them was:
UTG raises to 8$ UTG + 1 reraises to 25$ Villain calls Dealer allin for 80$ UTG calls allin and is allin for 80$ UTG + 1 calls 80$ (leaving 150$ behind) Villain calls
He had two cahnces to raise with Aces preflop and he didnt. Thats why I thought he was capable of having AsAx this time. Also, he had played very few hands the whole night, and showed down superpower hands as he raked in medium sized pots because he never did any raising.
I just have a general question for everyone, do you ever fold overpairs, becuz you put your opponent on a set? (in cash games 100BBs+ deep)

Yes, of course. Games are built around players that always stack off with 1 pair hands on deep money.
This was not a situation to fold however.

Is it because villain was playing too loose so we cant give him credit for a set? imho No.
Is villain playing his hands face up as in he doesnt have AsAx? imho No.
Are we getting the right price to chase 2nd nut flush assuming its good if we hit? 60$ to call to see a turn into a 195$ pot. You need 4 to 1 to see 1 card wen on a flush draw, so imho No. I dont include implied odds because I dont think he stacks off with a set when there are 4 spades on the board.
The only hand I stand a chance against is AsQx, were pretty much 50/50, and I dont think he has that becuz he's too nitty to put in a raise on that flop with AsQx.
This is the thought process that went through my head at the table justifying my fold.
Am I not supposed to be making this fold becase our stacks arent deep enough for me to get away from one pair here and a flush draw I strongly suspect isnt good?

Why post asking for advice if you don't want to hear it? Plenty of good players have said you made a bad laydown.
