If Bry has been active, I'm pushing this to isolate nilsok.  Hi-five screen when nil flips over AQ, punch it when Q spikes on the flop.

As Darkknyt said, I would defenitely shove to isolate.

If he's active, this is a snap isolate shove.

If he's not active, this is still a snap shove to isolate.  Dead money plus the guy can show up with AQ means arrr in and race it.

Definitely no question.  Shove to isolate nil.

Andy, you forgot something....

High-five screen when nil flips over AQ, punch it when Q spikes flop, high-five again when K spikes turn, then throw monitor when Q hits river.

yeah it seems everyone says this is a shove which i thought was the right play as well...just hate shoving a flipping with 60bbs and 20 min structure :(

I know you say Bry is active and all. But since your so deep.. Is just calling not an option? Given the structure of the tourney and all?

Re:AK late in 150k...what to do? In reply to

You can flat if you intend to call the shove from original raiser, but why do this and give him the illusion of fold equity? Get this hand heads up.

If the guy has been opening as light as he has the shover should be shipping a big range vs his open which you destroy with your hand, if you run into a big hand from original raiser, sigh, next tournament.

He is not closing the action AFink.....flatting would be his worst option imo.

Re:AK late in 150k...what to do? In reply to
By AFink93 on 05-15-2008 1:17 PM

I know you guys are right cause im horrible. But to get that deep in that tourney and be that deep and basically flush it all away on a coin flip sucks. If you flat and lose your still sitting on a 45BB stack.. What is wrong with that? What range would give the original raiser to shove over you after a raise and a shove and a flat..   QQ+ correct?

Re:AK late in 150k...what to do? In reply to
By Crunk_Ninja on 05-15-2008 1:19 PM

yeah the only reason i questioned it so much afterwards is because we are so deep, i have 60bb, 8th/32, and 20 minute structure....does anyone out there find an argument for folding here given positions and the action and the original raiser has us covered?

my initial intinct was actually to fold because i hate these spots with AK and have been there before and had same results...obv if i win the flip im cruising to the final table.
