Going for Gold
The tide is turning for Jamie Gold. First, he got an opponent to pay off his rivered flush by asking the player not to call down Gold's bet of 1,500 on the river. The player did, only to see that Gold had the second nuts. Then a few hands later, with 7,000 chips in the pot, Gold bet 3,500 on a board of      . As he made the bet, Gold said, "I got you." His opponent called anyway, prompting Gold to say again, "I got you. I got you." Curiously, despite the fact that Gold had yet to open his hand, the other player mucked. Gold dragged the pot without opening his hand and is now up to about 25,000 in chips.
