It's really going to depend on the board, as if you're not getting it all in pre, then you can safely assume his range is QQ+ and AK (maybe JJ).  You can safely check knowing he's going to lead/shove on that flop and then cry as he flips over AA and start praying for a king.

But as played, yes, this is a good way to either maximize or go broke.

Not Standard IMHO.

KK v. AA there's a time and a place not to go broke in a tourney holding this cooler.

And that time and place in the first round of the tourney.  Shouldn'ta went broke here with the action that went on.

His preflop play screams AA. If you wanted to get even more justification you should have c-bet the flop and then if he raised there you have it.  You coulda came out a damaged but still alive.

Just my two cents but hey what do I know.

I doubt I'm ever laying down K on pre or on flop right here.

Just hsi re-re-raise pre is pretty standard. Pushing's fine too.

I disagree AJKHoosier of CMoney3 (don't remember) had a post a while ago where I think he held KK early maybe first round of 1k with similar action I really don't believe in going broke with KK here with blinds at 10/20.

I was a bit surprised you played it like that early in the game tbh - I thought I pretty much was screaming AA. when you tanked on flop thought you maybe had JJ and were figuring best way to play - when you shoved on me I was getting ready to chuck laptop across room!

ul though - if its any consolation I lost count of the times I had AA cracked by under pairs last night. Think it was a new personal record!

And if its any more consolation I finished.....46th! (bubble 45 obv lol!)

When u tanked and made it 900ish there my thought was that u have AA 96.5% of the time and live i just sigh and and fold. But online people play so bad  that im often enough shown 99 there that i just cant fold so my only thought preflop with kings is how i can paid on all my chips.

I think I tanked briefly cos I was playing about 6 at once!! Or I may have been OPR checking you - I know I did at some stage on that hand :)

Interesting with comments about people showing down 99 etc there. If I hadn't been slightly wary of JJ I would consider over-betting there to try and rep TT-99 or something.
