Opinions wanted on converting $T to cash to build your roll.
By mesaplayeraz on 07-24-2008 8:38 PM

I just got through qualifying for the Midnight Madness on FTP (via MM 9 man turbo sng) and converted it to cash for my roll.

I know some people are against doing this because of the fact 1st and 2nd pay the exact same whereas in a reg. sng 1st pays more than 2nd.

Thoughts?

if you play tournaments or sngs there is no reason whatsoever to convert and lose the 5%... if you play those things T$ are same as cash... so just unregister from MM and use it to play other events or lose money on the deal...

Next time, when u win another 1, DON'T CONVERT IT TO CASH!!!  By converting it to cash, u r basically giving FTP your $ due to the commission.  Now if u win sumin bigger, say a seat worth 4 digits and u wanna cash that $ out to pay bills, etc, then it may be ok, but for a small amount like that, just use it as SNG / MTT bankroll and win $ with it that way.  I had $22T from winning 2 seats to it via the 90 FTP deals, but I was low on $.  I used $3.80 of it to play in that crazy Turbo SNG where u start out with 10 BB's and 3 minute blinds, cashed in that, and kept on cashing in em, with a few wins also.  As for the $T, I still have it, the $18.20 worth of it, and now have a decent amount of non $T Money to play with.

Thats how I did it anyways, whether or not u feel like going this route is your choice.

dont convert it to cash unless you have a bunch and are gonna cash out.

if yo uare going to be playing more tourneys dont convert!

you can build your $T balance up and then use it as entries to tnys or sats.

If you're asking if you should play these due to the payout structure the answer is yes. 7 of 9 players in those are MTT guys who're just trying to get in cheap and cannot play a SNG to save their life.
