1st - take out $8 mill term life insurance policy.
2nd - accept annette's offer
3rd - you can fit lots of logos on a stove pipe hat

may i know whats ur problem with my country... imo u shouldnt talk about things u dont know

Yeah gboro... I hear the cartels and kidnappers have really changed their ways of late, don't be so quick to judge dude. Seesh.

But seriously, just do what you're doing and things will take care of themselves. Obviously if you've gotten this far there's no need to change things up at this point. If you're hitting your driver 275 yards you wouldn't change your swing to hit it 10 yards further just b/c you're playing tiger, right? Just keep on keeping on IMO.

^^^^stovepipe hat comment is killing me...lol...

congratulations on your performance in the main event so far...

-take some time w/ Joe Navarro...i don't think he'll find other peoples tell for you, but he can help you w/ yours....i mean, he found a tell on Chris Ferguson for petes sake...and some of the other guys MIGHT be hiring a tells expert to tighten their game up...you don't want to give away any kind of edge...

-and YES you prolly should study up for this, not like that BS comparison up above, but more like you just won the heisman, but you're still going to workout w/ a specialist right before the combine...not because you're weak, but b/c you could always be stronger...

-play (and win) some live events between now and then, LPT, WPT, EPT, etc...good practice, but better yet, when they announce you at the final table, it'll be "BAY 101 Shooting Stars Champion" or something...makes you sound good yeah, but more importantly, w/ no big name pros @ the FT, something as little as a loaded introduction may be enough to intimidate a player or two...maybe give you a small edge psychologically...

-have fun.  you are in great position in the biggest game of the year.  Helmuth would pay every member of P5s 100K if he could switch spots w/ you.  Enjoy.

First of all congrats r a y.  That is one hell of an accomplishment.  Way to rep P5's!

I'd suggest making plans to try and get the best possible players you know to come out and rail you when it starts.   Maybe a few of the best players from here wouldn't mind being there for you.  I'm not suggesting you can't do this by yourself, but I think having people like Annette, Menlo, Waco, lil, & PearlJammer in your corner would be comforting to say the least.

Also, ignore anyone trying to be your "agent" or accountant...because most people are not looking out for your best interest  They are looking to capitalize on your success.  Pick someone you trust to handle things  you don't have the desire or time to handle.

I like the idea someone else mentioned, of vacationing somewhere nobody recognizes you so they don't bother you or stress you out even more about the most important competitive event of your life.

Good luck sir...I will be rooting for you.

and the winner of the best response is...

Mr Galt:

1st - take out $8 mill term life insurance policy.
2nd - accept annette's offer
3rd - you can fit lots of logos on a stove pipe hat

couldn't stop laughing XD

1.) Accept annette's offer
2.) Look up J.C. Tran ~  Best live MTT currently ~ IMHO
3.) Exercise
4.) Understand M's
5.) No Drugs or Alcohol
6.) Practice short-handed games
7.) Read ~watch video's (Bax, sheets, and the rest of the crew)
8.) Remember AQ & 22 sucks.
9.) Learn how to suckout ~it is an art

As rizens says "It more important to make the right play than to get your cards   in good."

Someone at the table is always ready to "give up" get his chips.

Don't try to make hero calls

thwlvssmllfr:

Make every attempt you can at contacting Phil Ivey, Erik Lindgren, JC Tran or Barry Greenstein imo

I think this is the perfect opportunity to get lessons from these guys, and dont forget Daniel Negreanu.  Id also want lessons from menlo and annette too. and get a lesson from Joe Navarro too. then play in a few wpts and see if u can apply what u learn.

I would play decent volume online, make sure your final table game is at top form when you get there. I don't know much about your background or amount of experience you have but I'd be sure to be grinding a ton online and just making sure I'm technically flawless when stacks get short with my pushes and calling ranges, because eventually it will come down to that.

is it even a question? you go all stu ungar on it.  spend the whole 900k on hookers gambling and blow over the next 117 days. That way you know you gotta play your best and take it down.

lol jk all suggestions thus far have been good. also not sure if your married or what the rules are but if you are having any marital issues maybe get a divorce pre Final table so you dont have to give up any of the money you win lol.  I hope that is not the case but something to think about for ya.

I hope for your sake u play next to no poker until then.  After playing 9 straight days just last week, I'd be burned out for awhile anyway.  IIWY, I'd go to some tropical island, rent a condo, and don't move out until November.  GL!

Honestly i have no idea what i would do if i were you.  Id probably go off hardcore for 2 weeks or so..Amsterdam..travel, shit like that.  Do some stuff you never done.  Then after a couple weeks, do the healthy lifestyle get in shape blah blah shit while hiring pros to help mentor you all the way.  Curious to see what your offered and what u do.  So keep us posted.  This is soo kickass dude..fuck ya!

Are these guys really gonna get million dollar deals like that average looking girl could have had when she was in 17th place or so?  Seems like your gonna be a millionaire on top of the 900 before the final table begins...how exciting...

I agree, this huge break before you play is only helping in endorsements and shit like that.   Cuz each week or so you have, the odds of you winning go down if you do nothing to improve your game and find out about the others.  The gap will be shortened between the players obviously...  Seems like a big hassle to me.  The amateur is the one who is going to profit the most from all of this.

What a total mindfuck man...  call annette...Stay healthy dude....and enjoy...

Are you gonna do a blog?

I would probably try to call barry greenstein for advice..He is the closest thing to jesus christ i have ever seen...probably wouldnt screw ya over ya know? And maybe help ya out with a pokerstars deal..weeeeeee

1. Hire a good lawyer.

2. Hire a good accountant.

3. Hire a good financial planner/ investment counselor

4. Hire a reputable marketing agent.

5. Do not give any of them power of attorney.

6. Do your homework on these people before you hire them.

7. Learn to say "No".

Good Luck and congratulations.
