My Situation.
1. Every week or tw i have $20-$100 to put online and play poker with win or lose, for the sake of this post well say $50 to deposit every week. i can do the math if its a larger or smaller number in any given week
2. i do not have a large lump sum to deposit. 3. i have a couple nights a week where i can play from 9pm- and i have lots of 1-2 hour stretchs during the week to play sngs or mtt turbos. 4. i have won a few tournys paying $5-$20, taken 2nd in a few( most dont show because they were before the switch from 100 people or 1000 bucks, then they were 1,000 people or 10k$ and i played a small percentage of the games that i WANTED to play in the last 2 years)and im comfortable with my playing style, although im always trying to better it.
5. i lack the disipline when playing games smaller than $10, but fear playing games that take up 25-50%($10 games and bigger) of my current BR because i dont want to lose and be done playing for a week or 2(maybe thats what i need to do though)
6.i would not be against playing for the BIG score, playing sattys to huge games, or grinding small wins if thats the best for my situation .
My Questions...
1. what $$$ or BR% size games should i be playing? 2. should i be spending some/most/all of my time playing sattys,( to daily 80k or sunday million or what) mtt i can afford, or grind sngs?
3.what other questions should i be asking/what are the answers?

you should probably just save up your money until you have a more reasonable amount of money to work with and deposit imo.

If you are willing to lose the 50 weekly and look at it as "fun money," then I think the satty approach is good. Find a buyin tourney that gets you excited and play satties into that. The 26 token tournies on ftp are good for this. Also, if you skip a week of play or have a decent week, continue to add to you BR the 50 bucks.

i want to keep playing. if i was to take the advice to save money i would just figure i have a 1k BR and play acourding to that. that may the best way to go, but i dont think so...i have a somewhat unique(im bad at spelling) situation and want to take advantage of it if possible...

I dont like number 5 at all... If you lack discipline at the $5 games, how are you going ot suddenly have it at the higher games. Say you save $500, now you feel $10 games are going to be the games you lack discipline in becasue $10 vs $500 isnt a big deal. Playing $10 and above youre not comfortable because you have a large % of what you have in your account in one game.
Advice... work on discipline... do it at the small limits, so that as you move up you can keep the discipline like its second nature.
The issue to me seems like you like to have fun/play alot of hands and gamble it up... which = lack of discipline. You think that becasue its a low limit you can get away with it - this leads to having terrible fundamentals when moving up limits. also when you talk about playing $10 and higher and being more disciplined... is it really more discipline, or the fact that you are playing like a nit becasue youre playing with scared money?
Starting with $50-$100 I would play $1-$2 SNG's.... work on fundamentals, discipline, etc and grind the BR. Assuming you beat these at a consistent rate you can start multi tabling...2 at a time... then 4 then 6 etc....
Once you get to 10 tables you should be able to make 25%+ in most 9-45 man sngs in the $1-$2 range... get a set of 10 in every night and your making like $5 or so a night in 1-2hours... within a week or 2 move to the $5 range... now your making $15-$20 for 1- 2 hours...
rinse and repeat.

Your bankroll isn't just $50. Since you add to it weekly, your true bankroll is however much you are willing to lose, over time. Over the course of a year, your bankroll is $2600, so you could go with that.
If your goal is to make the most you can, per hour, then play the lower games until you have a track record of beating them over time. Playing games larger than the highest level you have had success at won't help. I'm not quite sure how talented or untalented you are, so this is hard to answer.
I would assume since you have had some big scores and that you are still depositting, that you haven't followed proper BR mgmt in the past, and would be better off starting lower. If my assumption is bad, just ignore this paragraph.
The problem you are facing is that you want to remain in action, AND play $10 games+, and unfortunately, on $50 a week, if you are starting from $0, you have to choose only one of the following:
[] Play at a lower level and stay in action for sure all week. [] Play at a higher level but risk being out of action for the remainder of the week.
Hope that helps!

SO ITS KNOWN
i do take poker seriously, i study books read articles and play when possible, im not just playing to play. i want to make the most money/hour, that fits my sit.
about the comment to number 5 *EDIT* i see what you mean that as my BR grows the games i should move up to will replace the $5 games in being "to small" and your right i need to work on that.*END EDIT*
when i say i dont play them well its because i lose intrest. is it ok, or right? no. but it is what it is and i am trying to work on it.
in responce to jennifear.
you are correct. when i won $2800 i took out $2400. i know wtf ftw? my reasoning was that ill just deposit if i lose, eventually i did and had a kid so i took a break for a while.
so i guess i got the answer i didnt want. haha. i have to choose smaller games/possibly being out of action for a week or two. i want to make the most money/hour one way or another...and im willing to lose and be out of action for days or weeks if need be.
is playing all sattys trying to get into a bigger game and play that a good idea? or should i just play $3-$5 mtts straight up? or should i risk it and play $10+ games

If I'm in your shoes, I'd build it up slowly using the smaller games, and truly if you are good, it won't take much time to get to the $10 games anyway :)
