My friend Anthony (Lero Demmy on UB) alerted me to the fact that "Annette_15" has been going around to high stakes cash games offering to send people $1,200 on UB for $1,000 to Western Union.
It's very doubtful that Annette would be this hard up for $1,000. Also, this person was playing 50-100 NL on her name and blew 20 grand in about five minutes.
Anthony told me that they spoke on MSN to do a UB for Stars swap, which they do often, and "Annette" said she couldn't do it and quickly signed off. It appears that at the very least her UB and MSN accounts have been hacked. If anyone knows a way to get ahold of her, now would be a really good time

sure there is a way to lose that much, some pots at the highest stakes reach about 200k every day...its very easy to lose that much money, and quick too. just saw another post and saw ozzy is minus 500k in 23 hours of play!

this is terrible...I hope the money is recovered. I'm suprised that she kept that much money in her account. I'm sure she didn't expect this to happen, but putting money in excess of what you need in an interest bearing account is always a good move.

Hello everyone, sorry to hear about Annette_15's account being hacked. The actual phone number for Ultimate Bet support is 1 866 605 0311. I gave them a call when I saw it happening, I hope they took care of this for you Annette_15. I informed them of the problem, so let's hear some updates if this was taken care of or not. Lemme know Annette or anyone else needs more info. on UB support. I've had to call them about a problem on UB as well, so that's why I called. Best of luck, and see you all at the tables!

For anyone that has seen my comp it is actually 2 different comps both with dual sceens. One I only use for poker/pokertrackers, the other for everything else. Having 2 comps is a good way to avoid this sort of thing. Also for Annette she should change her passwords on all the other sites she plays, since alot of people prolly use the same password over and over again. Fk the hackers!

I feel like annette should keep the + money only because if the situation is reversed the beneficiaries of Annettes loss wouldnt send the money back imo. They took a +EV gamble of playing against a scammer who is likely a poor poker player, they got f'ed by the deck likely, and lost, sometimes this happens such is life. They do not deserve their money back just like annette wouldnt get jack shit if the situation was reversed.

I have heard several people saying not to give out your e-mail address. How can you get hacked from that?

From what I understand you can't from just that in itself. The problem comes with the worms/trojans these animals will send to pull this stuff.
In short don't open any attachments you weren't expecting and even at that never open it if your virus or spyware program detects a problem.....
