I'm not sure what everyone is really expecting Annie to answer.  I'm sure a lot of people here have worked for companies that have had some sort of scandle or something happen they they didn't have direct knowledge of.  I highly doubt Annie is in the board room when all the decision and stuff are going down.

I understand that she is the face of UB, along with Phil, but it appears to me that she is more stuck in the middle.  I know everyone is upset, but do you think she is behind the whole thing?  I think some of you do, and that is your oppinion, I'm fine with that.

Annie said in the Poker Road interview that she is very much involved with security and the fraud investigation. I would assume to properly be able to help in that matter she would need to have been given a ton/all of information in the scandal that happened in the past.

She knows more than you think or she just lied on Poker Road about being involved with their security.

I did not say I was involved in the fraud investigation of this scandal.  I said I was involved in working with the company on developing tools for security going forward and that I was involved in fraud as it relates to new promotions.  Please do not twist my words.  I did not conduct the investigation.  I am not intimately involved with the investigation.  I am not a spokesperson for the investigation.

I have a some last things to say and then I am done with this topic as I will file it under no one will ever be happy anyway. 

Being willing to answer questions on the topic is different than being a spokesperson.  When I am interviewed people asked me about the scandal.  I am willing to answer the questions because if I were not I would not be willing to put my name to the brand.  If I did not want to answer questions on the topic I would have to dodge all interviews.  I am willing to answer questions on the topic in the normal course of an interview because I believe in the brand.  But being willing to be asked these questions and answer them does not make be a spokesperson and to frame me as such is unfair.

Honestly, if I were to answer "no comment" when asked questions then everyone would yell about that too.  That puts me in a no win situation.  Just today when I said that I didn't feel I should comment on something that UB hadn't commented on yet I got jumped on for that.  So if I do answer you yell that I am a spokesperson.  if I don't I am hiding something or the company is. Catch-22.

I find it interesting that the assumption is that because I did not respond to EDub imediately that I was dodging the issue rather than that I was out hiking with my children, which is in fact the case. 

At any rate, I will say it again, the management at UB is a new one.  As for the stuff being posted on 2+2 I should let UB respond to that not me since I am not a spokesman on this issue and have no interest in being one.  That being said, I have no idea how anyone thinks anything on 2+2 implicates the new management.  I have read through it and as far as I can see no one in current or recent management at UB is even mentioned there.

excellent.  i have some questions.

why arent you involving yourself with the investigation?  i dont mean to imply you get together with the hardy boys and figure everything out, but why dont you really familiarize yourself with what's happened and how it's happened?  so you can honestly try to explain it to the community and how UB is implementing steps to ensure it doesn't happen again.  because, cmon, it seriously seems like a pretty big deal.  yes, even bigger than your newest tournament scheduling ideas.

have you talked to n82 at any point since dodo released all the new information?  or any of the resourceful players who have already done so much(and honestly seem to be the only ones doing any real investigating)?  do you want the truth of what occured to come out?  maybe you could ask nat(sorry to single out him like hes volunteered to be our sherlock... cant think of anyone else though) if theres any info he might want that you have... and i dont mean help him get administrative access to the system, just maybe give him some contact info of some people who might know some things.

basically are you doing anything to help get to the bottom of things or are you just going to sit back and hope for the best, spouting the company line of "oh, it was like that when we got here"?

No one is happy about the entire UB saga, least of all me since it was my home site and where I got my start.

All of that being said, the people I see being the most vocal and the rudest to Annie are people who I have sincere doubts as to whether they even have ever played a hand at Ultimate Bet.

As is always the case, all of the information is not out, so to keep taking potshots at the one person who has taken the initiative NOT to hide from anyone is childish, immature, and moreover makes you look like a fucking idiot.

Annie Duke did not steal from you, nor did the majority of people who rep UB that we are familiar with, so quit being completely rude pricks to the people who are more deeply affected by this than any of us... the people who are hiding in the shadows is who we are all pissed at, so show some class and be more respectful.

I have had about 1000 email and phone call exchanges in the last couple of months with Annie. I don't know much more than you guys as to which way is up in this whole drama, but I do know that I believe that Annie personally is not involved in any cover up or misinformation agenda.  

No one should accept anything at face value, and I personally concur that more information is needed and it should be forthcoming if UB is to once and for all lay to bed all of the issues associated with the scandal.

It almost seems like there is now a new mutation of internet tough guy, and that is the now abundantly spawned wanna be internet super sleuth.

The evidence will come out, it always does. We will make good educated decisions when we have all the pieces of the puzzle. Until then, I choose not to attack the person who can give us updates and information, especially when that person is not one of the people who stole from the community, she just happens to have the most emotional investment with the company, and that itself isn't anything to be ashamed of....

In happier news, I am now back home from the tragedy that is the WSOP and my set of 3's losing to a runner runner 4 flush, and it is off to the beach and water parks with the family.

Best hidden bad beat story in forum history....

Be patient guys, we may all be caught up in the X files, but the truth is out there and it will make it's way out.

Chris i too got my start on ub....and no im not the big baller you are but it doesnt make my opinion any less relevant....Annie is being attacked because she is the one climbing up on the soapbox.  Why is she up on that soapbox?  you say its emotional investment with the company?  WTF  Its about the almighty $$$$$  She is being compensated...She didnt have money stolen from her.  Just the opposite...she has sold her soul and karma is a Mother.

Well said BR!  I get so sick of people insulting and abusing  the Ub pros (Debo, Shawn, and Ho).  All they want to do is make a living and possibly make the tournaments and cash games bigger at their site.  I dont blame people for being upset and vengeful at a site that has allowed money to be stolen from them.  But to take it out on such great guys is a joke.  As far as Annie, I have no idea what position she is in or what she might know about the situation.  But I do agree she has gone out of her way to try and  communicate with the community here.

I believe the reason so many of us are upset with Annie is because she is the face of UB, and we feel that she is still grossly misinformed at the least, and flat out lying at the worst.

She claims that the minute UB found out about this they started doing their own investigation and locked all these superuser accounts and promptly notified the online community about them. This is false. All superusers were identified by players LONG before UB ever found them on their own. Taking any credit for this is BS.

She claims that they didn't want to 'rush' the investigation which is why it took so long (5 months?) to get this latest batch of superuser names out. Ok. So if they did a thorough investigation, how come 3 days ago when they released this new batch of names did they STILL miss multiple superuser accounts?

And when will she address the fact that we know a few of these account names because the whistleblower released them to the public AFTER UB release their latest list, and then within FIVE minutes of him releasing those names, they magically appeared on UBs updated press release. How did they get missed the first time?

Annie also claims that this was all the work of ONE individual. We know for a FACT that one of the accounts changed its name 4 times. 2 of the names were released by UB as superusers and 2 were missed. How, if they are doing an internal investigation, and they have found 2 of the names this account was called to be superusers, could they possibly miss the other two, when they are all 4 the same account just the name was changed. Surely they could see the progression of the name changing?

Why was Freddie Deeb's account, which shares the 55 moniker that many of the superuser accounts share, closed along with the other superusers back in Feb?

I listened to Annie on Pokerroad today. As many others have said, she was not forthcoming, she railroaded the conversation, she would not stop talking to allow Ali to ask any questions. It sounded like someone who was just trying to spew some company jargon and was not at all comfortable with any discussion about anything outside of what she had in her little box to talk about.

Edit: Another thing any said in her pokerroad interview that irks some of us is that ALL the online sites have had security problems. Like this kind of thing happens all the time....Seriously Annie, trying to compare the AP/UB superuser scandals to any multi accounting/much more trivial issues other sites have had is ridic imo.

There's a reason why Annie does not post on 2+2. But she posts here. Even though many people disagree with her, for the most part they keep their crititism on the up and up. And stay away from personal hateful attacks. Let's keep it that way.
