Two people will be implicated here, you can probably guess who. One is going to be removed from online poker forever and one is going be removed for a fair amount of time.
I was asked not to post specifics and that AP's statement is going to be detailed and is going to be released Sunday morning.

One thing that I think has been lost in this mess and rightfully so with the craziness of everything else. Why the fuck did Absolute allow their employees to have an active account to begin with that could play at their tables? It was obvious at least a couple of these accounts were known to be owned by management by everyone at AP and seems to be a huge security flaw in their business plan to begin with.

It is expected that Absolute Poker will be refunding all of the
players affected by the cheating, apparently "with interest," though it
is unclear how such reimbursements will be calculated. Furthermore,
MSNBC's source claims that Absolute Poker is pondering filing charges
both criminal and civil against the employee. Annie
Duke, widely recognizable pro and the top female professional poker
player in the world, notes to the online community that there is no
need to fret in the wake of this news. "This kind of stuff happens in live games all the time," says Annie. "You just don't hear about it as much.
^^^Did she really say this about the AP scandal or was she mis-quoted. Seems kinda odd to me that the other players in a live game have access to all your hole cards. This really happens all the time in live games?

its obvious she is reffering to the fact that people who wear sunglasses at the table have tiny video screens in them that broadcast all of the other players hole cards.
damn you jesus.

I can only assume that she thought the cheating scandal was just about collusion, which does happen all the time in live games, and had no idea about the ability to see the hole cards. That's assuming of course that she was correctly quoted.

Any possible way we can get the name of the guy who sent CrazyMarco that HH? I think "thanks" should be in order.
He got fired. :(

Only in televised tourneys with lipstick cams is it possible. Try watching replays of the Jennifer Tilly win. At one point Jennifer pulls her hair back and you can see a damn IFB in her ear. IFB=intercom fold back which is a communications earpiece they use in television. All those lipstick cams are being monitored by somebody.
From those comments by Annie and from when she made comments that online poker isn't regulated, "...and people want it to be regulated," tells me there must be plenty of open cheating at UB.
Damn I hate thiefs. Nothing like representing honesty only to rob people blind.

"Why the fuck did Absolute allow their employees to have an active account to begin with that could play at their tables? "
Why the fuck not. THere is no rule, law or anyone to stop them from allowing it. Heck we don't really even know who owns AP. Isn't that funny. We ship off hundreds of dollars to these companies and we have no idea who they are or where they are located if we ever wanted to collect on some funds. We just have to take their word for it.
