IMO....the company you represent needs to start making Smart decisions.
While the BPO is going on Bodog looks like they decided to Cancel the
$55 10k all week. As I see it, the site has more traffic because of the BPO
and that tourney would easly fill even with the BPO since "most everyone"
plays multiple tourneys at the same time. To me bodog is missing out on a
smart business decision to capture as much traffic as possible through-out the BPO
series.
So with this in mind ( as thier official spokesperson you are ) during the next BPO
keep that tourney alive.
Also.......I petition for a $20 rebuy 4-5k gaur. that starts sometime around the
other 2 rebuys ( the 3k $12 re and the 2k $10 re ) or even an hour after them just pryor the the $55 10k ( since this seems like the time you have the most traffic). This tourney use to be a favorite for most of the regs ( the 20re 5k ) but was usually to late at night to always make the gaur.
With all due respect.......I really dont feel that the site listens much to there long time players ( not looking to bash here). Give this $20 rebuy a chance because I "gaurantee" that it will fill. Just look at all the other sites that have a $20 rebuy.
They always CRUSH the gaurantees!
Edit: a $20 rebuy is an important tourney when a player is trying to make a jump from Low stakes to Mid stakes. It is paramount to the exsistence of all players trying to establish a bank roll.
OK...lets break this down. If the $20 with rebuys is scheduled between the 3k $12 re and the $55 10k It should get at least 100+ players.
100 x $20 = 2000 entered
50 x $20 = 1000 Minimum rebuys
50 x $20 = 1000 Minimum add ons
More easy math....this is yesterdays $12 rebuy 3k figures 11/4/09

From the sound things at bodog lately, I'd seriously doubt if they could handle a whole lot of traffic.

cosign this whole conveyance. I rarely comment/respond to Bodog posts bc it is flat out discouraging knowing nothing will be executed on pursuant to tournament poker schedule requests/suggestions. Although I only play low volume, there are many tournaments (included the 20r which was by far my fav) that would fill w/ just the regs including myself moving forward (10K 30r/10K 100fo/10K 69fo/20K 200).
I could rant on for days about Bodog Poker's recent business practice over the last 1-2 yrs and provide enough justified context till I am blue in the face. My last/final suggestion is to trial a tournament schedule for one week. But marketing/branding this as Bodog's new and improved tournament schedule. PR is essential and you have the resources to make this live as of the first of next year. Downside risk is a few overlays, upside gain is increased traffic, retain the current regs in addition to the old (80/20 rule this is where your core business should be focused anyways), and finally...attract NEW players.
BodogBecky - please forward this to Serge, Emmanuel, Brian, etc someone in mgmt who has been there for years that can recall/relate to the Bodog Poker brand the way it used to should be.

plz take this into consideration Becky. You keep seeing posts about Bodog tanking and not having enough volume to sustain the guarantee's etc but what Bodog fails to do is LISTEN to its customers. FTP and PS are the powerhouses because they beta test many different scenarios until they find one that people enjoy/get enough volume in.
It is so frustrating playing back in 2006 with the best mtt structure you have ever provided to seeing what it is now. We all see the potential in the site if only you guys took the time and made the adjustments. Lets go !!!!!

Agreed the $20R was by far one of my top 3 daily favorites. I thought it was terrible to see it taken off the daily tournaments and it really should be placed back on. If there's some concerns as to #entrants I'd even recommend scheduling the start time earlier and dropping the rebuy to $15 or so. The combo of these two elements should ensure a safe transition back into the schedule. Then you can/should adjust accordingly.

i dont even play bodog anymore...occasionally i play a tourney here and there but it's not even worth my time to load it up and play just one tourney...obv if bodog had more tournies like a $20r with a 4 or 5k guarantee, i'd play...he's definitely right that just about everyone multi-tables...there's no reason for the 10k to not be going on during bpo...and i play more on cake and AP because of the tourney schedule and rakeback/rewards...sync breaks are definitely nice, but bodog has wayyyy more problems to deal with first...get a good tourney at these eastern times and ill be back immediately, 8pm 830 9pm 10pm 11pm and midnight...
