This just happened the other night while I was there. It was like 5:30am and I was just about to leave when all of a sudden an older gentleman at the next table over falls backwards out of his chair, almost falling into me in the process. I was kinda taken aback since you don't see that very often but didn't think much at first. I just thought he had leaned back too far and fell or was drunk and fell outta his chair or something of the like. Then I noticed that he was wheezing (sp?) as he tried to breathe and wasn't moving. It didn't take long to process that something was really wrong. Everyone was in shock. A couple players apparently knew first aid but were torn on what they should do. By this time he had pretty much stopped breathing completely. Eventually someone from the casino staff came in with a first aid kit and got to work. Started with CPR and then it got to the point where they had to do one of those defribulator machines or whatever they're called where they had to shock him. Then the paramedics showed up and the room was just a circus. Every table stopped action when it was clear it was more than just a fall so most people were just standing around watching and/or talking about it, most of whom agreed it must be a heart attack. There must've been 10 people crowded around the guy between casino staff and paramedics. I found it to be a little morbid and didn't especially want to linger and potentially watch someone die so I cashed out and took off pretty quick. I haven't been back as I just left on vacation so I dunno what happened but I hope he was alright. Apparently he had just sat down at the table and just gotten his chips. That was pretty fucking crazy though. Anyone else have any other stories?

I've only been playing live for 9 years and have seen 3 people die at the poker tables (2 for sure, one most likely)

Figures, saw the ambulence go to Edgewater.

I learnt poker playing in Scotland. Talk about intimidating. I have seen someone get put through a table. And let's not forget a guy in Edinburgh being shot outside the casino during a smoke break!

30% of the times i walked into the casino, that ambulance was leaving with someone. but this isn't some resort casino (not yet at least, their hotel isn't done yet) but they're pretty heavy traffic for norcal (this was over a 2 month day to day basis)

a bud was telling me he played at commerce when someone died, and some jackass yelled "House, bring us a live one" .. and when the ambulance showed up, he refused to leave his seat to make room for the paramedics

commerce a few years back during LAPC, two guys must have gotten into an argument over play of a hand because there was some loud arguing going on a few tables over. The arguing faded, then like 2 minutes later we just hear a loud shriek, and one guy is quickly trying to make his way out of the ballroom. Long story short, he had poured hot coffee down the other player's back.. Left in handcuffs.

i was playing blackjack and the dealer passed out with his head on the table..immediately they got a new dealer come in to continue so that we didn't miss a hand and at the same time they had other people st him down and give him water when he came to, then put him back to work 10 min later..it was so odd that they let him go back to work imo.

One time i was playing in a 1-2nl at Sp. Mt casino and there was two guys who had been bickering back and forth for a few hours. The floor had been called over and they had been warned. Well anyways, one of the guys busted another the other for a $400+ pot and the guy who had just been busted got up calmly and walked to get a soda. So there he was drinking his soda near the entrance by where the floor people sit and this shady lookin kid comes out of nowhere and grabbed the guys IPOD that he had left next to the table and he ran towards the exit. The guy drinking the soda saw him and tackled his ass and began to punish the lil IPOD thief.
Both guys ended up leaving in handcuffs and banned fcrom the property. that was a bad session.
